25.01.2022 Parramatta SES volunteers have been working day and night since Friday in response to over 300 local requests for assistance caused by the recent wild weather. Tomorrow we will once again have volunteers active, assisted by a strike force from Fire ad Rescue NSW, working to attend outstanding requests. The Bureau of Meteorology are forecasting the potential for more rain at the end of the week. Please take some time whilst the weather is clear to perform some property maintenance. For a rain event, the best preparation you can do is clear your gutters; if blocked gutters are the cause for a leak there isn't much our volunteers can do to help. Whilst you prepare your homes, our volunteers will be servicing equipment and restocking the trucks in preparation for a possible round two.
