04.01.2022 Community Leaders/ Elders Schooled Accessible Diversity Services Initiatives Limited (ADSI) in partnership with Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation and... Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) and Dooley’s Catholic Club over the weekend organised a two- day training on Leadership and Project Management for African Leaders/Elders from 15 different Nationalities at the Mercure Kooindah Waters, Wyong. The trainer was Dr. Mark Weston Wall who has vast experience and knowledge in the field of Leadership and Project management during his time in the Military and also as an academician Dr. Weston said Leadership is about getting people to comprehend and believe in the vision you set for the community and to work with you on achieving your goals, while management is more about administering and making sure the day-to-day activities are happening as they should. He added Project management is the process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time. In many cases the objective of project management is also to shape or reform the client's brief to feasibly address the client's objectives. See more
