24.01.2022 4 student teams from NT Christian College took part in the preliminary round of the 2020 Australian Titration Competition a competition for Chemistry students to test their knowledge and scientific skill. The competition involved students undertaking 2 hours of practical process to determine and calculate a chemical analysis of the concentration of a weak acid substance. 3 NT Christian College teams achieved results which will enable them to compete in the final round this... Saturday. Of the 50 NT teams competing, 16 achieved results (based on team accuracies) progressing them to the final national round. Mr Dempster and Mrs Allison, our Chemistry Teachers were most impressed with the way all the teams worked together cooperatively, and the highly competent skills and techniques shown by individuals. 19.01.2022 "Sewing for Service" God has gifted us all differently. It is His plan that we match each of our gifts to serve another’s need, like the piecing together of a jigsaw puzzle. The image of a completed puzzle describes true community. In Year 10 Textiles we began the term by asking How can I use my gifts of creativity to serve? It was our pleasure to meet the needs of a sister school, Mount Evelyn Christian College in Victoria, by making & sending them face masks. We also served our own school community by making cold pack covers and blankets for our sickbay. Emma Allison - Year 10 Textiles Teacher

16.01.2022 Friday evening brought about a fine dining experience for some special guests as Stage 2 Food & Hospitality students completed their Modern Australian Dinner Assessment. Students were responsible for planning the whole evening, from trialing recipes to composing the menu, ordering supplies, designing the decorations, set up, pack up and of course all the food preparation and cooking. The students did an exceptional job; and a big thank you to Mrs Henderson and Mrs Annis-Brown for supporting them through this task.
