12.01.2022 Finally, some great news for the community and for the real estate industry from Premier Daniel Andrews. Here are the main points: Real estate ...auctions can be conducted outdoors - limited to 10 members of the public, plus the minimum number of people required to conduct the auction. Inspections by private appointment continue (we think for another couple of weeks) Commercial agents can now conduct one on one appointments The 25 km rule replaces the 5 km rule within the metropolitan boundary. Melburnians can now exercise or socialise outdoors for an unlimited amount of time - as the two-hour time limit has been abolished. Hospitality venues and stores will be able to open from November 2, with density and social-distancing restrictions. Such a relief for the residents of Victoria as we can finally see a slow return to our daily routines. The real estate market continues to power along with buyer appointments consistently over 300 just on weekends and hundreds more during the week. Whilst our team have adapted extremely well, I have to admit I can’t wait to do my first auction as I have not conducted one since March. While online auctions have been successful, I still prefer the atmosphere of outdoor auctions. That being said, this unusual situation has proven that if a buyer is committed to purchasing a property, they will, despite the complications this new environment presents. Committed buyers have adapted extremely well to the new sales methods and have completed transactions despite the difficulties.
