19.01.2022 Our thoughts go out to the family, friends and colleagues of these two brave volunteers. RIP. The continued battle that all these volunteers are doing to fight these bushfires Australia Wide should be recognised. Also the other Emergency Services workers and volunteers who will no doubt be spending time away from family and friends this festive season we thank you.

18.01.2022 Its great to see water flowing in the Todd again, and many of the creeks and rivers around Central Australia are already flowing and cutting access to roads with localised flooding. Make sure you check NT Road Report https://roadreport.nt.gov.au/ before travelling. And please remeber, if its flooded, forget it!

18.01.2022 Hello everyone, please be advised that training for our volunteers has been cancelled until further notice. However our volunteers are still available operationally if needed. We will let everyone know when our regular Tuesday night training resumes. For our dedicated volunteers they realise why this decision was made. To the community of Alice Springs and beyond please stay safe and look out for each other during this difficult time. Check on your friends, family and neighbours.

17.01.2022 IF IT'S FLOODED - FORGET IT! Police and NT Emergency Service in Central Australia are reminding motorists to take extra care on the roads as heavy rainfall cont...inues in the region. Superintendent Jody Nobbs said, Flash flooding can render roads suddenly impassable. Several motorists have already required rescuing from flooded roads, including a family with young children whose sedan became bogged on a flooded remote track near Ti Tree yesterday. Luckily, police were able to rescue them and everyone was safe. We advise motorists to reconsider their need to travel in these conditions, but if you must go out, ensure you have a capable vehicle and carry food, water and emergency equipment, even if you’re only planning a short trip. And always remember, if it’s flooded, forget it. It’s just not worth the risk.
