11.01.2022 Ten Years On // Being a builder for a builder, the philosophy behind Cubitt Street Offices was to create a raw and robust building that unapologetically exposes all aspects of construction. The design also prompted our team to create a visual icon that can withstand its time within the Cremorne precinct. . The Cremorne context is one of small industrial and commercial buildings dotted with residential cottages. Our response to this was to inject much needed raw tones and rob...ust forms, whilst providing an engaging and efficient workspace. A lean budget complimented the design logic of exposing these forms, whilst the timber screens soften the facade and play on the changing motion of the South Yarra rail corridor. . Our approach to sustainability has remained consistent over the years, and this build emphasises the importance we place on building meaningful designs to our community. Sustainable design features such as exposing the concrete ceilings to act as thermal mass, implementing low E glazing, putting in place operable glazing to allow cross ventilation to work spaces and the timber screens that offer shade, contribute sustainably to the end design. . A decade later, Cubitt Street remains an iconic form in the Cremorne area. NTF Architecture will continue building workplaces that generate inspiring work, generating employees productivity. 06.01.2022 With the first half of 2020 almost behind us, we are excited to have our New Street Townhouses complete. In close collaboration with our committed landscape designers, engineers, environmental specialists and building professionals, we are proud to execute a final design that we feel expresses a vision of elegance, combined with fine craftsmanship. Comprising of a collection of six, three-bedroom luxury residences, we have ensured each individually presents themselves with a ...distinctive sense of sophisticated, yet relaxed living. Core to our design was creating a home that was not only robust, but a relaxing haven. The use of rich and textured materials, natural stone and detailed joinery, were all considered finishes aimed to reflect a high-end bespoke residential home. The outdoor areas that allow for ample greenery have been inspired by the leafy surrounding of Hawthorn. Prime Urban Property Development was committed to the end result, which was reflected through a seamless execution, completed in a time that was unique in its challenges. It is with much excitement that we are able to present Three New Street, and we look forward to sharing with you our upcoming projects for the remainder of 2020.

05.01.2022 COMING SOON // 32 Rathmines Road is a collection of five individual residences, adding charm and character to the surrounding suburb of Hawthorn East. Wanting to design homes that were a sensitive interpretation of the traditional raw forms of Rathmines Road, we enjoyed being able to influence the way the old and the new work together. The site’s heritage façade has been celebrated through the use of new grey bricks accompanied by planters of greenery. Whilst the interiors ca...n be characterized by a timeless minimalist aesthetic. To reflect the charm that many of the neighbouring homes boast, we incorporated architectural features such as pitched rooflines, established gardens that sit in their own courtyards, and considered materials. Rathmines Townhouses shows that when worked fittingly, a contemporary approach to a classic design can subtly connect the new forms to the old. We are excited to share with you the progress of the Rathmines Townhouses!

03.01.2022 COMPANY UPDATE // WE ARE NOW CARBON NEUTRAL As part of the Architects Declare Initiative, as of May 2020, NTF Architecture is now a Carbon Neutral organization. Through an internal assessment of our carbon use we have made considered steps to reduce our carbon footprint. Furthermore, at NTF Architecture we have made a commitment to review our carbon emissions on an ongoing monthly basis with a continued effort to first and foremost reduce what we can in-house. NTF Architectur...e is now proudly a Carbon Neutral Company. Special thanks to Pathzero for their assistance in assessing our companies Carbon Footprint and recommending ways to reduce our environmental impact. In return, through our due-diligence and discussions we hope the NTF Architecture has been able to provide some valuable feedback in support of this fantastic start-up organisation. We wish them well in their endeavour and this very important space.
