23.01.2022 In line with this week’s NAIDOC week activities, NT Health CEO Professor Catherine Stoddart hosted a special event to unveil the artwork being featured in the Aboriginal Health Plan 2021-2031, which will be launching next year. We invited special guest speaker and artist, Mr Anthony Lew Fatt, who is an Arrente man from Central Australia to talk about his piece titled ‘Caring’. Anthony described his artwork to represent young and old people coming together in a central place... to care for each other and the healing journey, which includes modern medicine and traditional bush medicines working together to support better health outcomes for his people. Professor Catherine Stoddart said his artwork has instrumental meaning to the work we do because it encapsulates the Aboriginal view of health and wellbeing and the intersection with western medicine. We are proud to be supporting the achievements, culture and art of local Aboriginal people. #NAIDOCweek2020 #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe
