25.01.2022 7pm under lights and 12c... great to see our cricketers working hard to get ready for new season. Go Hoppers!

22.01.2022 The weekends games ended in split results, with 1 win and 1 loss. The hard work at training has paid off for A Grade, with a 58 run victory, seeing them top of the ladder after round 1! B Grade lost the toss and were sent in, setting a defendable total- however strong batting from Albury's middle order seeing them home by 5 wickets. Congratulations to Brandon Purtell on his 100th A Grade game for the club! His late order hitting and accurate bowling was in full flight as usual, just as his new haircut was when he was rumbling in to bowl

22.01.2022 Tom Hemsley! 2018/19 Premiership player, 2020 T20 premiership player

20.01.2022 A wet and crazy week of weather made for some interesting cricket today.... Our A grade got underway and Ryan Addison won the toss and chose to bowl. St Pats made 5/186 with Jake Burge taking 3 wickets and Tendai 2. We were in a bit of trouble at 4/46 when the rains came in and washed the game out. ... B grade played in a thriller at Bunton Park with a win in the last over. We were sent in and scraped our way to 150 with good contributions from Matthew Paddle Blake Elliott and Captain Mitch Koschitzke... Our bowling was led by Blake Elliot again with a very tight 9 over spell from Shiv and an excellent line and length spell from Connor Smith! Though the game was won when the ball was thrown to Clint Wayne Gorman who spun his way to picking up 3 wickets in a close finish! C1 game got underway under the Captaincy of Rhys Wilcox... after 21 over Raiders were 1/115 when the heavens opened and the game was called off. So a mixed bag with 1 win and 2 washouts.

All 11 players contributed to fight out a tough 2 wicket win! B Grade travelled to Corowa to take on the minor premiers. We batted first and with a solid platform, managed to get to 174. Early wickets were key and tight bowling from the spinners brought about exactly this, the lads completing the victory by 22 runs!... Today’s games both start at 11.30- A Grade playing Corowa at Bunton Park, B Grade playing Belvoir at Kelly Park. Get down to support the boys to help them get through to the next round! #gohoppers

07.01.2022 A great weekend of cricket by North Albury, here’s a wrap of the action. A grade v Raiders had a professional win highlighted by a great batting partnership between Ant (109 no) and Tim (97 no) Hartshorn as we piled up 1/222 off our 50 overs. Our bowlers finished the job off with Tim showing his all round skills with 4 wickets and Cal Langlands spinning his way to 4 wickets too. B grade v Raiders had a solid win, captain Kosi won the toss and we got first use of a flat wicke...t and lightning fast outfield. Harry made 63, Stomach 71. Our bowlers toiled hard and stayed patient to knock the Raiders off. John Purtell with 4 wickets, Blake with 3 and Shiv with 2. C grade responded from last weeks effort by beating Lavington. Our bowlers got things underway by restricting Lavy to 93. Kai Braddy led the way with 4 wickets and 27 not out as we passed them 4 down. U 16 had a huge win v Belvoir. After rolling them for 62 last week we piled up 286 in reply with James Smith 72 and Cruze Hassgal 53 being the stand outs. U 14 were chasing the daunting target of 206 and we fell just short by only 30 runs. We were looking good at 2/150 will Bill Shoemark making his maiden 50 and Josh Shirley smashing 36 in his first bat for the Hoppers. 02.01.2022 The cricket is back! Tomorrow is the resumption of the North Albury Cricket Clubs quest for the next premiership with our A and B grade sides playing Albury Cricket Club in Round 1. In honour of our past players we have a video from club legend Kelvin Williams to wish us all the best. For those new to the club, Kelvin Williams is a past import who was invited to the club by none other than Rodney Barton who played against Kello while he was in England. Kello agreed and the r...est in history. Not only was he a fearsome bowler who could bowl bloody fast, he was a damaging middle order batsman who could hit some of the biggest sixes you ever saw. Just look at some of his A grade bowling performances... and bear in mind back in those days the best players were often unavailable for many games in the second half of the season due Rep Cricket games being played on a Saturday. Had Kello played a full season these numbers would be even more remarkable. 1996/97 he took 17 wickets @ 7.8 runs per wicket 1997/98 [email protected] 2000/01 [email protected] 2001/02 [email protected] His impact on the club, our juniors and the league as a whole was as big as his huge frame. Cheers Kelvin Williams!!
