08.02.2022 Welcome to the team Fox !!!

31.01.2022 2021 A year of opportunity, new ventures, and new team members !! We welcomed Pegasus . This littlest team member, with the coolest personality who provided so many opportunities for us to showcase our Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) program and opportunity to bring joy to everyone who spent time with him.... We attended Integrated DisAbility Action Inc - IdA All Abilities Expo with Pegasus, which led to an invite to participate in HPA Helping People Achieve Steps Towards Capability Expo. I Engaged in further learning studying with La Trobe University’s completing a course in Animal Assisted Therapy strengthening my belief in outcomes that can be achieved working with a range of animals and highlighting that our ranch does not have the joy miniature cows can bring !. Towards the end of the year we were honoured to be both recognised and invited to participate in the Carnival of Fun celebrating International Day of People with a Disability hosted by Integrated Disability Action group. We met new participants and said goodbye to one of our participants, Alira who showed up every week since we commenced our equine journey. My absolute personal highlight was Belyuen, when NT Integrated Therapy in partnership with Cross County Therapy Horses were invited to attend Belyuen Community School. We want to say thanks to Integrated Disability Action Group, HPA, Belyuen Community and Darwin Quarter Horse Association who welcomed us with a corporate membership. Cross County Therapy Horses & NT Integrated Therapy also want to recognise Luke Purtill who joined us supporting Pegasus and sharing a wealth of knowledge around all things equine at the Expos. Thanks to Rachel Oliver for being so awesome, without your support this wouldn’t have been possible xx

24.01.2022 QRI Cold laser therapy with Master T yesterday using targeted lasers aimed at integrating reflexes blocking higher level neurological connections to positivel...y influence anxiety, swallowing and speech. Four sessions have seen gains in sleeping through the night (after 3 months of pacing the house at night), eating new foods, improved swallowing, improved eye contact and more physical touch and affection. Looking forward to more gains as time goes on, he tries really hard and is an absolute inspiration #lovehim #workshard #qrilasertherapy #coldlasertherapy #lookatthatsmile #eyecontact #tyingtocommunicate #gains See more

22.01.2022 Such great info on scoliosis & retained reflexes from @posturepro . Proper growth of the spine is crucial for the health of every child. Postural misalignments ...such as scoliosis can significantly hinder someone’s quality of life. The angle of trunk rotation serves as a reliable measurement to assess spinal development and detect early manifestations of the spinal deviation. Persistent primitive reflexes after the first year are potential factors contributing to the formation of scoliosis. A study published in Advances of Clinical and Experimental Medicine investigated the matter. The researchers measured the angle of trunk rotation and degree of reflex integration in 61 children. They assessed three primitive reflexes: The asymmetrical tonic neck reflex (ATNR), The symmetrical tonic neck reflex (STNR), The spinal Galant reflex (SGR) The results showed a body rotation in half of the children and a positive correlation with a non-integrated spinal Galant reflex, mostly in girls. Gieysztor, E., Sadowska, L., Choiska, A., & Paprocka-Borowicz, M. (2018). Trunk rotation due to persistence of primitive reflexes in early school-age children. 17.01.2022 NT Integrated Therapy is proud to be offering Quantum Reflex Integration (QRI) to clients across the NT including Darwin, rural and remote areas including Katherine and is coming to Alice Springs in August 2019. The QRI Harmonic is the only laser that combines the CMT sound frequencies with low level laser, this distinguishes the Harmonic from other lasers. Two low level laser heads allows you to complete reflex integration protocols with ease which creates a synergistic conn...ection between acu-reflex points and primitive reflex patterns. The CMT encompasses the entire spectrum of frequencies that sweep through the laser diodes and through an adjustable sound system. The QRI laser assists in the management of (is not limited to) - Autism - Cerebral Palsy - Stroke - Behavioural challenges - Learning Difficulties -TBI For more information on how the low level laser can help you or a loved one, please contact the team at NT Integrated Therpay.

15.01.2022 This story is from one of our equine therapy facilitators. The outcomes and benefits of equine therapy is having a positive impact on many lives in Darwin and Katherine

03.01.2022 Our Farrier doesn’t normally work on a Saturday so when he arrived kids were pretty keen to get hands on. Thanks so much to Gary, these kids will remember this for ages !!

03.01.2022 Did you know that the Fear Paralysis Reflex comes into existence at about 5 weeks after conception. It’s the withdrawal reflex, the ‘play dead’ reflex, the free...ze response and its purpose is to aid survival. Interestingly at the same time the Central Nervous System is being formed too as well as the grey matter moving from inside the brain to the outside, thereby creating the thalamus, hypothalamus, amygdala and basal ganglia. The CNS helps with processing of the senses. You can see why shutting down in a state of overwhelm coincides with sensory processing disorders.

01.01.2022 Yesterday one of our EFL families shared with us a copy of their Family Magazine. A magazine they started during the COVID-19 pandemic to stay connected with their wider family. We were really humbled to see our EFL team featured and to see the joy Bree, Shania and their team of ponies bring to this family.
