06.01.2022 It’s Day 3 of Airport Safety Week - AUS and NZ & it’s all about Foreign Object Debris (FOD)! FOD at airports has the potential to cause damage to Aircraft Engines, Ground Service Equipment, Employees and Passengers and in turn can have a devastating effect on safety. It can include a wide range of material, including loose hardware, catering supplies, building materials, rocks, sand, pieces of luggage, and even wildlife. FOD may be found anywhere in the airport environment. Damage may be caused through direct contact with aircraft, such as tires, engines, or even injuring personnel through jet blast. Today our teams all participated in FOD Walks around their Airports. Well done everyone! #ASW2020 #safetyfirstfamilyfeel
