21.01.2022 Ms Heaney’s Tranistion / Yr 1 from Holy Family Catholic Primary School Karama NT accepted Healthy Harold’s Vegetable Challenge for Term four. ‘We were excited to start this challenge because it made the students eager to bring vegetables to school. The children already knew that veggies were an important part of their diet as we had studied it in class. However, they didn't realise it wasn't just a 'dinner' food. This challenge has encouraged the children to be more aware o...f what they eat and what they are putting into their bodies. I have noticed that some lunch boxes have more fresh produce and less packaged food since starting, and parents of my students are just as excited as I am about the facts that the children are actually requesting vegetables for lunch! It's such a fun and healthy way to get the students to make healthy lifestyle choices!’ See more

15.01.2022 Our Educator’s may have been been voted the Territory’s favourite in 2020 but their partners all play vital roles in keeping Harold on the road and in the air. L-R Dave aka the ‘Car Guy’. As Manager of Autobarn Darwin he ensures all of our vehicles are fitted with the best accessories for town and bush. He’s also pretty handy at van renovation, chippy work, painting etc Rob aka Jumbo has been known to drive our volunteers hundreds of kms so they can tow the vans remotely, he also ably assists at Community events and many more valuable behind the scenes efforts. Lloyd aka ‘Pilot Lloyd’ not only flies Harold safely in and out of Community, he has morphed into Harold on many occasions, co-hosts Community events as our unofficial youth engagement officer, cooks a mean sausage sizzle and so much more. #family

08.01.2022 As December has now finally rolled around in this topsy turvy year we thought it would be cathartic for all to reflect on the monumental achievements of the team in 2020. Due to uncertainty around school operations our Educator’s got busy! Healthy Harold’s Homestay Challenge was created for students, parent and teachers to have access to a fun inclusive and interactive health experience at home. Whilst not in schools funding was sourced to renovate both vans and install new t...echnology including touch screen TVs, TamE and new stickers and logos. Direct Delivery mode of teaching is nothing new in the NT however there is nothing better than the magic of the van where possible! Thank you to all our supporters for making 2020 truly magnificent.
