24.01.2022 First events in the NAS tournament and winners everywhere. Sam and Harper placed second in the creative weapons with their new Kama pattern. Zac also came second in his division (out of five) with his newly learnt bo pattern. Black belt Josh placed first in the forms. A great start amongst some very good competitors. Chief Instructor Adam

22.01.2022 Wishing you all the best for your techniques at tomorrows grading. No luck needed, just a demonstration of what you have learned will see you through. See you all in the morning. Chief Instructor Adam.

22.01.2022 So amazingly proud of Black Belt Josh and Zara who did magnificently over the past two days. Zara places second in the extreme forms and did an amazing job in the points in continuous sparring against bigger, older and more senior belts as well as the forms division. Black Belt Josh executes a great pattern and took out a third place in points and a first place in continuous sparring, making him once again, an Australian National Champion. Chief Instructor Adam also did wel...l taking fifth place in the weapons division. So proud of you guys. Even in losses, were so gracious with your peers. Thats exactly the attitude that leads to so many great things. Congratulations on a great National Titles with plenty more to come.

21.01.2022 Heres the most recent newsletter, which has loads of important information including training dates and our break over the festive season. Dont forget that the school tournament is on this Thursday night, to celebrate the last night of training for 2017. Look forward to seeing you all there.

20.01.2022 What an awesome day yesterday with many students grading and performing so well. Our yellow belts of Jonah, Bella and Leanne (with her green stripe) did great and our green belts included Sam T, Harper and Zac (with his blue stripe) outdid themselves. Instructor Mick well earned his 2nd Dan by providing a fantastic effort in patterns, sparring and board breaking. Aside from his second stripe, Instructor Mick earned the title of Senior Instructor at the end of his grading... through his knowledge, dedication and teachings over the past years. We are very grateful for your efforts and lucky to have you. Sam T and Harper K were the worthy joint recipients of the NTTKD Student of the year trophy through their hard work, practice and focus with their training. As part of their award, Sam T and Harper K were also provided with a set of Kama each to continue with their weapons training. A big congratulations to all and to thanks to those who came along to support. See you all Tuesday for the results. Chief Instructor Adam

19.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday night and another awesome year of training. Chief Instructor Adam.

Chief Instructor Adam, Senior Instructors Mat and Mick, and Black Belts Shaun, Lachlan and Joshua.

18.01.2022 On another note, this will be Instructor Keenans last grading with us for a while. Instructor Keenan will be moving at the end of November to Melbourne to embrace another journey with his partner. On behalf of all of us at Northside Traditional Taekwon-Do, we wish you all the very best. The school, our weapons patterns, junior belts (as well as the black belts) all owe you a debt of gratitude for everything you have given to us. We cant wait until you come back. Please join me in thanking Instructor Keenan for everything hes done for us.

16.01.2022 All the very best for all of our students grading tomorrow. Im sure youll put in the same effort and determination that you do each night. Chief Instructor Adam and the Black Belts.

16.01.2022 An awesome job at the grading by all who came (even those not grading). Special congratulations to Lachlan who achieved, in great style, his Junior Black Belt (our second one ever!). Keep training and theres no limit to what you can achieve. Chief Instructor Adam, Senior Instructors Mick and Mat, Instructor Keenan and Black Belts Shaun and Joshua.

15.01.2022 With all Northside Traditional Taekwon-Do events over for the competition, its been a big day. Nahida and Ali both did well in the points sparring but eventually were beaten in the end by just one point. Even though Joshua was disqualified from the continuous sparring, he would have placed first, however this time it was not to be. A great job guys anyway. Junior Black Belt Joshua produced the pattern of his life to become the Australian champion in the forms event and second in the points sparring. Joshua, Nahida and Ali have all qualified for the Australian squad. Congratulation to Black Belt Shaun, Junior Black Belt Joshua, Nahida and Ali for competing. As I expected, you all competed with style and professionalism. I couldnt ask for anything more. Chief Instructor Adam

15.01.2022 A great grading today with 10 students participating and more on hand to show support and assist in challenging those trying hard for their next belt. Overall, some awesome patterns, strong techniques and excellent demonstrations by the Black Belts. A sensational morning. Remember to keep practicing.... Chief Instructor Adam

15.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing your smiling faces this evening as we continue to train through the school holidays. See you then

14.01.2022 With the National All Styles ACT State Titles over with, our small class came away with four ACT State Champions and a great collection of medals. You all competed with such dedication and style, it was a pleasure to cheer you all on. Keep working on your abilities and enjoy your rewards. Well done to all who competed. Chief Instructor Adam.

14.01.2022 And here we go.

14.01.2022 First couple of rounds down and a second to Zach in the sword and a fourth to Harper (out of 12) for the patterns. Zach and Sam T also showing fine form in the patterns events.

14.01.2022 Good luck today to Black Belt Josh, Sam, Harper and Zac at the National All Styles tournament. Youll do great. Chief Instructor Adam.

13.01.2022 What are your goals for 2018? Well its only one more sleep and we will be back training hard, working towards our goals for 2018. But what are your goals, and how will you get there? Having goals is a great way to measure your progress and to make sure that are on track. Maybe your goal is to be the 2018 Student of the Year. Just watch Sam Huang, our 2017 Student of the Year, and you will get some great tips about what it takes. And what you need to do. Sam is a great example of dedication and commitment. So lets all follow Sams great example and work hard in 2018. Only ONE more sleep!

12.01.2022 Please join us in wishing Zara, Black Belt Josh and Chief Instructor Adam all the best in the quest in Melbourne at the NAS Australian National titles. Youve already done the club proud. Safe travels and smooth patterns.

12.01.2022 All formal events done with Zach coming 3rd in points (against a competitor twice his size) and 4th in continuous. Sam T battled through five tough rounds to place 2nd out of 20 people in the continuous sparring. Both Sam and Harper also doing great in the points sparring. Well done to Sam T, Harper and Zach for continuing the tradition of sportsmanship and professionalism expected of students of NTTKD. Youve done the class and yourselves proud. Chief Instructor Adam

11.01.2022 Wow. What a first day. In the first event Black Belt Joshua and Zara performed their patterns with extreme technique. While not placing, only just behind third place. Zara then brought home the first medal, placing second in the extreme creative forms with her tournament pattern (and what a pattern it was). Chief Instructor Adam had 11 people in his division and placed fifth against some strong competition. Then Black Belt Joshua does what he does best. After three excessively hard fought rounds and plenty of contact, he again showed what hard work and practice does by again becoming Australian Champion in the continuous sparring (15-17 years) division against some very tough competition. So proud of everyone flying the Northside Traditional Taekwon-Do flag and doing their very best. Points sparring events tomorrow. Well done team.

10.01.2022 All the very best in spirit and technique for Lachlan, Samantha, Harper, Richard, Vincent and Jonah grading tomorrow. This is your time and all the black belts are very proud of you. Chief Instructor Adam.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to all those grading in Northside Traditional Taekwondo-Dos final grading for 2018 today. No luck is needed, just practice, hard work and dedication is all that is needed to reach your goals. Chief Instructor Adam.

07.01.2022 What are your goals for 2018? As you get ready for our biggest year of training in 2018, its important to look back and see what success looks like. And you dont have to look too far. Harper Kaines received an Encouragement Award at our end of year ceremony. Harper has worked hard, and when you combine hard work with a winning attitude the skys the limit. So make sure you bring that desire to succeed, along with a big dose of winning attitude, and we will see you on the mat. Heres to a great 2018

06.01.2022 Dont forget everybody, the next grading is in less than two weeks time at 0900 on Saturday 30 June 2018. Remember to practice everything, and when you think youve got it right, practice some more. Chief Instructor Adam.

06.01.2022 Australian Martial Arts Championships Australian Champion forms 2017 Junior Black Belt Joshua.

06.01.2022 So proud of all of our students tonight at our annual tournament. Everyone did their thing in a competitive and friendly way. You all did so well. Thanks to all the black belts for their excellent officiating, our table officials, and our cooks. Thanks also to all the parents who came along to watch and cheer.... We hope you have a fantastic break and look forward to you coming back in mid January refreshed, revitalised and well practiced. If you happen to bring a friend along with you to train in the new year, even better ! See you all in a few weeks. Chief Instructor Adam, Senior Instructor Mat, Senior Instructor Mick, Instructor Keenan and Black Belts Shaun and Joshua.

04.01.2022 Good luck to all of our students competing in the tournament tomorrow. I look forward to cheering you all on and celebrating your successes. Have fun... Chief Instructor Adam.

03.01.2022 What a great day for a grading. Techniques were on fire, sparring was hard and boards were broken. Congratulations to all. Special mention to Lachlan who today (again) joined the ranks of the black belts by grading with indominable spirit and years of hard work, culminating in his 1st Dan. Well done Lachlan on a fantastic effort.

02.01.2022 Wow. Wow. Wow. What a day. In the last part of the afternoon: Harper took a second in points sparring, Sam took out a second in the continuous and Zac took third in points and a first in the continuous. Black belt Josh swept every event in his class, placing first in each one. ... Congratulations to you all. Youve made the school, your fellow students and most of all, yourselves, very proud. You all competed with the spirit that we hold true. Well done to each of you. Chief Instructor Adam

02.01.2022 All the very best for all of our students grading tomorrow. I’m sure you’ll put in the same effort and determination that you do each night. Chief Instructor Adam and the Black Belts.
