22.01.2022 Quick recovery of a bogged tractor today out the back of the oval on Lakeside Drive #wewontleaveyoustranded #247recoveries #nttowing4x4... #nttowingandrecovery See more

17.01.2022 Well what a night that was!! Got a call early in the night for 3 cars bogged in Virginia however they opted out and instead seconded the help of offers on Facebook. Unfortunately this didn’t go to plan for them and again called just after midnight where we mobilised two crews to attend. Given the additional vehicles tracking back and forwards making more and more deep ruts they’d made the recovery much more difficult that it had originally been, which we regretfully see time... and time again. It just makes our job so much harder and also delays the time in which you curl up in bed after getting home. On getting there we recovered the two Good Samaritans where they departed to obtain some rest before work today. Once the glimmer of daylight broke through the darkness we’d started on the original vehicle which was stuck, albeit from the other end in which the access was far easier to attempt a recovery. By 8am we were all loaded up and heading home for some well earned rest. Tip of the day from us to you..... Don’t go in all guns blazing to help others. Take the time to walk all possible access routes to understand where your best chance of success lies. Too many times we’ve seen cars continually use the same track which results in bringing the water to the surface and bringing your car to an abrupt halt! Review all possibilities before committing!!

15.01.2022 Quick recovery around the corner in Howard Springs. Couple of blokes went out last night chasing the elusive Barra in the Howard River and became stuck. After multiple attempts and a lot of rain they called us this afternoon. A quick winch and we had them out. Tip of the day.... Maxtrax are your friend when wheeling alone

14.01.2022 Another one bites the dust..... channel island power line track adds another two to its talley!! A BT50 and a Prado who came to its rescue. Both were recovered using winches with the aid of maxtrax, all before the storm hit. Both owners glad to be out after some failed snatch recoveries using 200 series and a Hilux, we’re glad they didn’t go down too!! Back home for a quick pool session before we’re back on the grindstone on the next recovery.

11.01.2022 An update, our recovery units have completed their job in the Beswick area and are headed back to Darwin currently, should anyone require our assistance please call on 0458122285

08.01.2022 No job too big or small.... yet another truck driver who managed to do himself a mischief when taking a shortcut to make a delivery. Attempting to turn around off the track in the NT’s wet season isn’t such a good move when you’re fully loaded. Our crew were quick to respond and had them back on their delivery route quick as a flash. Our tip of the day... regardless of what the map shows, if it looks like a dirt track and you’ve driving a heavy truck don’t risk it, it’s not... worth the biscuit!! #wewontleaveyoustranded #247recoveries #nttowing4x4 #nttowingandrecovery

07.01.2022 Interesting morning recovering a loaded truck in the rural area which unfortunately sunk yesterday before we had 6 of rain!! Just shy of 11ton of pulling power managed to pop the big girl up on multiple maxtrax where we walked it back onto hard ground. All done in an hour for the customer to return to their deliveries before the end of the week. The ruts you see beside the truck we’re from it’s first bogging yesterday where they managed to get it out after many attempts with another truck. Our tip of the day.... this happens every year during deliveries to the rural area, it may look like gravel on top but it’s extremely soft underneath. Local knowledge is key here, always ask the owner of the property where to drive, and what parts to avoid, and if in doubt, park on the road to unload.

05.01.2022 Well they say they come in threes...... that’s exactly what we got today. Phone call at 8pm for two cars bogged at Dutchies Lagoon in Howard Springs. Arrived to find a wonderful family who came to the rescue of their son who had bogged his Subaru after driving through 400m of water, not a bad effort to be honest!! They’d also bogged their navara after attempting to recover him. We tested our Worlds Best Backwards Driver stickers and recovered the navara 400m in the dark t...hrough 30cm deep water and reversed back in to get the Subaru. Luckily the son started a mechanical apprenticeship recently so he’s well placed to spend the next few weeks fixing the Subaru!! #wewontleaveyoustranded #247Recoveries #nttowing4x4 #nttowingandrecovery

03.01.2022 Another example of what not to do when recovering a bogged or stuck vehicle. Firstly leaving the drivers seat with the vehicle still in gear, secondly connecting a snatch strap to a towball, and thirdly backing up at speed causing not only the rear bumper to get caught up on the washout but also running over the snatch strap and damaging it. Luckily it appears no one was hurt, but we've seen many injuries and fatalities caused by all 3 above. Safety should always be your #1 priority!! https://youtu.be/mdJWggMNtYE
