24.01.2022 Turns out wedding season is about to ramp up in Perth! Had a fantastic day with these two on Saturday, perfect weather all day and a beautiful reception at @crownperth This wedding was actually rescheduled a couple of times due to COVID, and realising that restrictions were off meant the couple could bring it forward to a date and still have 140 guests attend. 18.01.2022 Second wedding, vowel renewal, commitment ceremony....call it what you will but these two sealed the knot on their set date a few months back during lockdown and full-filled their dream day (minus a portion of their interntional guest list) at Riverbank Estate yesterday. Yes ok it wasn't quite March weather conditions as planned, but it was worth the wait just to see their choreographed first dance, and "Ollie" the ring bearer sniffing the entire aisle before meeting the couple at the alter! Congratulations you two, it was a fantastic day to spend with you x

14.01.2022 I literally just googled why is rain on my wedding day good luck and got several different answers in the first page!! Fertility, cleansing (??), everlasting marriage, the last years a bride will cry (???) are just a few crackers, everyone seems to have a comment on it - I’d love to know what rain represents in your culture? Either way we just have to manage it, so if that means nipping out early to shoot, moving the ceremony to the plan B location, waiting 30mins (if poss)... for a shower to pass or grabbing umbrellas in preparation then that’s what we’ll do! I have my nerdy bird watching anorak, umbrellas and weather sealed professional gear that will capture everything I can to create an everlasting memory regardless of what superstition you believe in! Michelle and Peter and their entourage were absolutely amazing, super patient and keen to get the shot even if it did mean getting a little wet- thanks guys. We were lucky the rain cleared for the shoot (ceremony inside) and also to get a bit of low lying fog at night so I’m stoked it did rain because we got some epic shots!! Last shout out to the team at @riverbankestate for their ability to adjust to suit the weather! #riverbankestatewedding #rainywedding #perthwedding

12.01.2022 If you have a wedding booked in for the near future make sure you reach out to your suppliers before making any knee jerk decisions from the lockdown. I'm happy to answer any emails/take bookings as I will be at my computer editing as normal (aside from any screaming events from non-school going children). There is still a fair bit of information to process in the upcoming days - so for now, stay home, enjoy more family time, don't panic buy at the shops, crack a beer and w...atch old mate legend McGowan deal with this situation! Chinese weddings are notoriously fun, long and colourful days and this weekend was no exception. 03.01.2022 Kellie + Miles It’s always fun to hang out with a couple and have a portrait session before their actual wedding. This particular shoot was originally beach morning shoot, but turned a wet Monday morning city shoot instead! I went to the beach first as planned and it was hammering down, so made the call to meet the couple in the city and seek shelter where possible. Normally I’d postpone a portrait shoot given the forecast, but these guys were only in town last weekend so it was all or nothing!
