21.01.2022 For those clients that like the idea of starting a martial arts- the club our director has gained a double black belt from is currently offering a 1 month free trial (normally only 2 weeks) this really gives you time to try different styles and see which one you like more! Give mark a call to start your martial arts journey. A great way to get or stay fit, great for self confidence, self defence and simply a fun place to meet new friends. Everyone starts at a white belt which means a beginner and you progress at your own rate. No previous martial arts experience is required. Lots of kids classes and lots of adult classes too with loads of parents and adults of different ability. Come and try. It’s free!

15.01.2022 Well the world is changing daily however it is important that everyone continues to maintain optimal health. And therefore we are not only considered an essential service we have been considered a vital service and have been encouraged by the government to stay open. All our practitioners- dietitians, exercise physiologists, psychologists, diabetes educator and gastroenterologist are still open for normal consults but now also offering Telehealth consults if you prefer or we... think it is better for your safety. (Telehealth is a video based or telephone consultation). Please call to discuss this option. If you are still coming to a face to face consult you will notice some differences. -our reception staff are now working remotely in one of the offices and not sitting at the front desk. You will speak to them via an iPad and they can still answer questions, book appointments and take payments just the same as they normally do via some fancy IT setups. -All surfaces are wiped down between clients -All clients are screened for risk and changed to Telehealth if deemed a higher risk. So we minimize the chances of anyone contagious coming into the rooms or anyone who is more vulnerable attending face to face consults. -Only 3 people are allowed in the waiting room at a time and preferred if everyone waits in their car or at least outside on the pavement. The good thing is their are a lot more free car parks now. -Only 1 patient allowed in the consultation with the practitioner ( no support people except for one of our larger offices are allowed a maximum of two). If you need a support person or parent or child in the consultation please let our reception staff know at the time of booking the appointment so we can organise the larger office for your consult or transfer you to a Telehealth consult. -Patients will sit more than 1.5m away from practitioners and more than 1.5m away from each other in the waiting room. -we prefer you not to use our restroom as we have to clean the bathroom after every use and that puts my staff at risk. Remember to stay calm, stay safe and stay well. We are here for you and we will get through this together. Jo Turner - Director of NuActive Health

15.01.2022 So proud of the team being announced as a finalist in the local business awards. In the outstanding health improvement services category!

13.01.2022 Calling all past clients in for a winter special!for the month of June. If you haven't had a follow up appointment in the past 12 months! Then come in for a free weigh in. Just give us a call on 95250265 and we will slot you in on any day!! OR.... even better come in for a full consultation and only pay half price! That's only $35!! This is for past clients only not new clients!! If you haven't been in for 2 years or more I will give a double appointment for $35! Now places ...are limited as I am nearly booked up for the next few weeks! So you can also get this same special with my other dietitian Catriona Hull if you can't find a spot with me! Why am I doing this?? I need clients?? No if you are a past client you know that's not true. I am doing it because research shows that without a maintenance plan 98% of people will start regaining the weight they lost and I don't want al your hard work to turn to that!! So it's my way of giving back to help you get back on track ( if you are one of the 98% that has started going off track)!! Make the step pick up the phone!! 95250255!! See more

13.01.2022 I love this!! Sometimes good doors need to close in order for much greater doors to open!

03.01.2022 Regardless of who wins the election, it would be great to see COSA election priorities reached. If you are being treated for cancer or recovering, you may have thought it was important to rest, but research shows that exercise benefits most people with cancer during and after treatment. Being active can help manage some of the common side effects of treatment, speed up recovery, and improve your quality of life. For some cancers, exercise may even improve how you respond to ...treatment. Being physically active, along with eating a healthy diet, can help reduce the risk of the cancer coming back (recurrence) for some cancer types. It also helps reduce the risk of developing other health problems, such as heart disease and diabetes. According to the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) position statement on exercise in cancer care, exercise should be prescribed to all cancer patients as a standard part of their cancer care to help manage the effects of cancer and its treatment. Exercise & Sport Science Australia (ESSA) also encourages people with cancer to exercise. Read more at https://www.cancercouncil.com.au/cancer-i/exercise-cancer/
