24.01.2022 Clinical trials investigate a wide range of treatments. April 20 (4/20 to our American team members) is the perfect day to highlight the clinical trials we've done of THC/CBD as medical treatments. The medical applications of THC/CBD are being better understood with every study. Each clinical trial gives us more data and better understanding of how this family of medicines can help develop new treatments to help people with a variety of chronic medical conditions. Best of all..., many of the companies currently testing these medicines are local Australian businesses, helping bring new medicines to market. Thank you to all our trial participants willing to help us in these studies to advance medicine, improve lives. We currently have a study that allows for (but does not require) regular use of CBD/THC by participants. If that sounds like you, give us a call on 1800 243 733!

13.01.2022 "Will I get symptoms from a COVID-19 vaccine trial?" Dr Paul Griffin, Nucleus Networks Infectious Disease Expert answers: "For any drug or vaccine to proceed to human trial stage, we have to be completely confident with the safety profile of the product, taking into consideration the vaccine type and extensive studies carried out in the lab and animalsthis is certainly the case with this vaccine.... All investigational vaccines (and in fact licenced vaccines) carry a very small risk of side effects, most commonly very mild symptoms like mild pain at the injection site. During screening, volunteers have a dedicated one-on-one session with a doctor to discuss concerns like these and, while on trial, all participants are closely monitored. If, at any point, we are not completely confident with the safety profile of the vaccine we do not proceed with the study in people." 13.01.2022 Will I be injected with Coronavirus? Thats a question we are often asked when recruiting for Coronavirus vaccine trials. Response from Nucleus Networks Dr Paul Griffin: ... No. We do not expose anyone to Coronavirus in our trials and it is not used in the manufacture of the vaccines. The vaccines themselves contain a protein that closely resembles something on the surface of the virus; this is manufactured in the lab and not made from a live virus. Have more questions about Coronavirus vaccine trials? Check out other FAQs here: https://bit.ly/2YcSMy1

11.01.2022 Celebrating Clinical Trials Day, 2020 May 20th is International Clinical Trials Day. Today marks the day that James Lind started what many consider to be the first documented clinical trial in 1747; to determine the cause of scurvy. Lind separated 12 sailors into different groups to isolate the effect of different treatments on the groups, and within six days he was able to provide evidence that eating citrus could prevent scurvy. This was the beginning of #clinicaltrials. Wh...ile the processes have changed significantly since then, the principle of improving health through real world studies is the foundation of Nucleus Networks purpose; Advancing Medicine, Improving Lives. This purpose underpins all our clinical trials, including the latest studies involving the #COVID-19 #vaccine candidates with @Novavax and the University of Queensland @UoQ. Please join us in recognising the contributions of all the amazing people involved in the clinical trial process, and the everyday heroes that make it possible. Everyone involved contributes to Advancing Medicine, Improving Lives. #ClinicalTrialsDay #AdvancingMedicineImprovingLives See more

03.01.2022 We want to wish all our American staff, clients, sponsors, partners and participants a happy Independence Day. Though the current pandemic has changed the celebration plans of families across the USA, many people are still going to find a way to celebrate the freedom and independence they enjoy. Jordan Schiell is the Clinic Manager in our Minneapolis clinic, with a strong Independence Day tradition. The Fourth of July reminds me of family, says Jordan. It is a time for fam...ilies, friends and neighbors to get together and celebrate the beginning of this countrys Independence. I come from a long line of veterans, so for my family it is about celebrating those who have served. My great Grandfather served as a pilot for the US Army in WW2 and the Korean war, his favorite holiday was the Fourth of July so when he returned home he bought some beautiful property on Benoit Lake in Webster, Wisconsin and built a large house. Once he moved into the home he began a boat parade that he led every Fourth of July, everyone who lived on the lake would drive their boats over to my grandfathers home and wait for him to get the parade started, all of the boats would be decorated to nines with flags and streamers and anything else they could think of. Since his passing, my Dad and Uncle have maintained the tradition. They begin the boat parade from my Grandfathers home to celebrate him and the rest of our family, friends or neighbors that have served or are currently serving. Nucleus Network and Prism hope that you enjoy your Independence Day celebrations and traditions as much as possible this year. #IndependenceDay2020

01.01.2022 Happy Independence Day 2020! Yodahe Gamada is a Research assistant at our Minneapolis clinic, and has a unique perspective on what July 4th means to her. The 4th is so much more than fireworks and cookouts with family and friends. As an immigrant, the 4th of July reminds me of the values of Freedom. When the Founding Fathers of America declared independence, they paved the way for many immigrants to find the true meaning of freedom who have yet to come to this country. Yodah...e took the attached picture as a representation of what the 4th of July means to her. When you look at this beautiful sunset, it gives you a strong sense of peace. To have freedom means to have peace within and externally. We hope you all enjoy this Independence Day holiday. #independenceday2020
