10.01.2022 Housing industry stimulus With so much in the media today we wanted to share the criteria on how you qualify $25,000 paid to the home owner for a new build or substantial renovation ... You don’t have to be a first home owner Owner occupiers must apply as individuals only not a company Must be Australian citizens over 18yrs Meet two income caps - individuals earning under $125,000 or couples under $200,000 Must enter a building contract between 4th June and 31st December 2020 Work must commence within 3 months of contract signing Building a new home as principal place up to $750,000 including land Substantial renovations of between $150,000 and up to $750,000, homes must not be valued over $1.5million before renovation commences Works must be completed by a licensed building contractor who cannot be related to the home owner Renovations can be a combination of works ie bathroom / kitchen and must be attached to the home no pools, garages tennis courts We hope this helps answer many questions.
