25.01.2022 Kylie and Eric wanted florals to be a big focus on their day, and wanted the guests to enjoy them from the moment they walked in to the moment they sat down. Because they opted to do shared mains with @refreshevents - they used @the.wool.mill custom timber risers to feature lush flowers on every table and the shared mains to sit neatly on top! 24.01.2022 The gold cutlery Michaela and Tim had for their wedding added such a perfect luxe finish to their tables! Have you thought about hiring cutlery for your wedding or event? Here is a hot tip: make sure you ask your caterer what cutlery you need! Seems so simple but even the difference in shared mains vs plated mains might be $100+ in hired cutlery! 13.01.2022 Some amazing points pulled from a recent blog of ours where we did a deep dive into the pros and cons of BYO alcohol! BYO also means different things to different venues/caterers too. Some caterers offer a BYO price which includes all glassware, ice, prep and staff and you just supply the booze! And others may specialise in food only, leaving everything up to you, including everything down to the bar equipment. It’s a really important conversation to have with your venue and caterer if you’re weighing up the option of a BYO wedding! We’d love to hear your thoughts! Head to our stories to share any BYO tidbits

06.01.2022 To linen or not to linen? A great option for a couple wanting to show off beautiful tables but still have a linen element to create some softness on their tablescape is a linen runner like Michaela and Tim opted for! It tied their terracotta vases and neutral toned florals in perfectly, also allowing them to keep their linen napkins crisp white. Caught by @nickskinnerweddings

05.01.2022 Mirjana strikes again with the most stunning cake for Kylie & Eric’s day Currently featured on @hellomaymagazine blog and caught by @nickskinnerweddings

04.01.2022 Michaela & Tim opted for shared dining for their reception so we styled the blooms by @anatomyofflowers and insanely beautiful glass candle holders from @thesmallthingsco in clusters to leave room in the centre of tables for @refreshevents The soft natural colour of the linen runner from @simmonslinenhire tied all of the colours in perfectly Caught by @nickskinnerweddings

01.01.2022 Couples often say to our wedding planners our bridal party is going to be uneven.. do you think that will look weird or silly in photos? And our answer is a resounding absolutely not! Uneven bridal parties are becoming more and more common, with people not feeling the pressures to confirm to archaic views of what their wedding should look like. Why should you have to cut important people (or add people for the sake of numbers) when your bridal party should be the people around you that you hand select to be an extra special part of your day. Why not take things one step further and think of flying solo with no bridal party?! We’re talking all things bridal parties in our stories now. Let us know what you think!
