23.01.2022 Marker posts warn of transmission networks nearby. Now the posts are becoming smarter. Jemena is looking at installing cameras on its transmission easements. Th...e cameras can identify animals, vehicles and people. Satellites are used to notify the control centre. You still need to #dialbeforeyoudig when working nearby. But the smart posts simplify the task of monitoring the easement. fleetspace.com//solution-use-case-smart-posts-pipeline-mon See more

10.01.2022 Copied from a camping site! WITH WARMER WEATHER COMES MOSQUITOS! WITH SUMMER APPROACHING I THOUGHT I'D SHARE THIS AGAIN WOW-- I am making 100 of these!!!... Have you noticed the Mosquitos are already out! Here is a homemade trap to help keep you and the kiddos from being a blood donor!!! HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP: Items needed: 1 cup of water 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1 gram of yeast 1 2-liter bottle HOW: 1. Cut the plastic bottle in half. 2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle. 3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes. 4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired. 5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.) Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control. To SAVE this recipe, be sure to click SHARE so it will store on your personal page. Share

09.01.2022 Amalfi Beach Club has found an abandoned #telecommunications cable under Bondi Beach. The cable was used between 1917 and 1932. Abandoned networks can still be ...valuable. They may be Heritage listed in NSW. And abandoned pipes may still carry cables in future. So you still need to take care not to damage networks no longer in use. Pictures are from the Sun-Herald and Amalfi Beach Club. See more

02.01.2022 A pest controller has drilled into concrete for chemical placement. UNFORTUNATELY he has hit the houses main power source. The drill holes were only 10mm wide, ...with the power cable itself being not much bigger. Was this an obvious outcome or just reeeeeally bad luck? Either way, because this isnt a simple fix, the bill for it has been estimated at around $12,000. Not a good start for 2021 See more
