The body and the mind are going through such big changes, making it an important time to feel fully supported through this beautiful journey. This is where prenatal restorative yoga plays a soothing and nurturing role. It brings the body and mind back to a natural state of peace and contentment enabling you to connect with your baby, your body and your feelings. Through breath work and mindfulness, you can more easily relax, and allow your body and mind to receive the benefits of the restorative poses while simultaneously relieving anxiety and agitation. She is passionate about restorative yoga, Ayurvedic psychology, mantra meditation, and Reiki. She teaches from the heart and wants to share the valuable insights she has received from her different practices. She thrives on helping people transform their lives through yoga and meditation and believes that yoga offers us a means to heal from past wounds and to overcome life's challenges. 09.01.2022 ‘Prenatal restorative yoga practice is the most peaceful, calming and delicious way to flow through the beautiful and unique journey called ‘pregnancy’ If there is one time in your life where you need rest and nourishment, that time is during pregnancy as both your body and your mind prepare for the amazing journey of birthing. Peaceful Mama, peaceful Baby... Relaxation, rest, and awareness are the keys to a peaceful, enjoyable pregnancy, and birth. Pregnancy can often be a period of stress, doubt, exhaustion, and unknown feelings, all of which can impact your body, your mind, and your baby. While in restorative poses, we use different techniques such as breath work, mindfulness meditation, and body awareness to connect deeply to our true self and our growing baby. Practicing prenatal restorative yoga regularly will help to reduce stress and anxiety, stabilise blood pressure, balance hormones, strengthen the immune system, stimulate the Vagus nerve which helps with recovery, enhanced sleep, and prepares the Mumma for the unique journey of birth. While using different balanced breathing techniques, we bring positivity to the mind and body and enhance the performance of the pituitary gland, the master gland. During pregnancy, the baby is dependent on the mum’s body for the supply of oxygen and nutrients. So through conscious inhalation along with mindful exhalation, mama can strengthen the supply of oxygen and dispel carbon dioxide in the blood. By purifying the blood and getting rid of toxins, the foetus is supplied with fresh oxygen.
