23.01.2022 If anyone has lost their job due to the current extreme circumstances, please note the following- as per Govt Stimulus Package : 1) Upon Loss of Job: Income Support for Job Seekers with a waiver of the Asset test and no waiting period; 2) Payments of one or two amounts of $750 for Jobseeker (Newstart) recipients and other Social Security Recipients; 3) $550 per fortnight payment to new and existing Job Seeker Payments and other recipients including Sole Traders whose income has dropped (details awaiting but 20% drop was announced; 4) Access to Superannuation of $10K before June 30 & another $10K after. Hope this helps all my friends and others that are in this predicament.

03.01.2022 This is a frightening time for everyone. Some of my friends have been stood down and some client's businesses have been forced to close. Hard not to get upset and anxious about the future. We must try to stay positive and look out for each other and adhere to all the government warnings. In closing, I thought I would share a Business Action Plan, which was published on our Institute of Certified Bookkeepers Govt Economic Stimulus Bulletin. 1) Perform a Cashflow Budget, 2) Tal...k to Suppliers (Their intentions and their supply line), 3) Talk to your lenders about finance repayments - seek deferrals, 4) Talk to your Landlord and discuss rental commitments, 5) Discuss with the ATO any deferral of lodgements required or additional payment plans, 6) Speak with your staff - can you keep them on and how to operate, 7) Consider doing business differently.
