22.01.2022 TOTAL FIRE BAN A Total Fire Ban has been declared from midnight Saturday (tonight) until midnight on Monday night for all of the South East Queensland region. D...espite some recent rain, fire hazard conditions are actually worse than what we had at the time of the fires last year. It has only been the cooler conditions persisting later into the year that have kept the risk of significant fires at bay. All current Permits to Light Fire issued for the local fire ban area are hereby cancelled, subject to the following exemptions. THE FOLLOWING EXEMPTIONS APPLY: Fires lit for the purpose of cooking, that are: a. within a properly constructed receptacle such as a barbeque, gas or wood fired and pizza oven, and b. where the fire cannot escape or cause embers to drift, and c. there must be a fire extinguishing device available (e.g. garden hose or fire extinguisher) are permitted provided they are not left unattended. Fires lit for the purpose of providing warmth that are: a. lit within a properly constructed receptacle, such as fire pits and braziers, and b. that are used in suburban back yard, and c. no larger than 1m x 1m x 0.5m, and d. there is a fire extinguishing device available (e.g. garden hose or fire extinguisher), and e. the area is cleared of vegetation and embers cannot drift from the fire, and f. provided they are not left unattended are permitted between 1800 hrs to 0600 hrs. (6pm to 6am). This exemption does not include bon fires. Fires lit for the purpose of disposal of animal carcasses are permitted, subject to the issue of a permit by the local Fire Warden. Fires lit for commercial necessity are permitted subject to the issue of a permit to light fire by the Chief Fire Warden. As always, we ask for your care and vigilance for the prevention and early detection of fires. Please report any sign of fire to Triple Zero (000).

21.01.2022 Due to the current situation in queensland we would prefer our campers be self sufficient whilst camping with us. We have a dump point available for use after your weekend. 20.01.2022 EOI - Guided walks up to the famous Turtle Rock. A 3 hour experience walking on land that has never been open for hiking to the general public before. A beautiful trek up to Turtle Rock, tea and damper in the lava formed caves followed by a pleasant walk back down. Is this something you and a group of friends would be interested in? 09.01.2022 Dear Easter Campers: Due to the ongoing Current situation we are offering all campers the opportunity to transfer bookings to another date in the future. For those who wish to still attend (government permitting ) we encourage you to bring your own bathroom facilities and use the dump point provided to limit pubic contact. ... We have taken measures to open more camping areas to allow campers to spread further apart and limited numbers to avoid over crowding. Please consider bringing disinfectant sprays with you as we cannot ensure the ones we provide will stay where they are placed. If you have been sick or travelled overseas in the last 14-20 days prior to your booking date please transfer to a later date. Thankyou for your understanding, and we thank those who have postponed already with the support to a small family business. Booking criteria may change so please call before leaving. Two pines cafe - lunches only Cedar lake bistro - lunches and amazing dinners Advancetown hotel motel - pub trading hours and live entertainment on Sundays ... Please support locals! Without local businesses we have nothing.

04.01.2022 Numinbah Valley Adventure Trails would like to advise our valued customers that as of the 4th on December, at 4 pm we decided to not renew our horse riding insurance. We are ,as you can imagine,devastated! After 32 years running an enjoyable business, where we helped to give our customers a unique way of exploring the Gold Coast Hinterland, working with children to conquer their fears, and one of our favorite times was working with Make a wish and other charities, now have t...o close. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay viable with the ongoing price rises offered to small business whilst making the experience affordable to the customer and small families. We are happily continuing the bush camping and expanding into Glamping options, wedding locations and Yoga retreats, as well as keeping our wonderful land open to the public with horse Agistment. 02.01.2022 We thoroughly enjoy meeting our campers and watching everyone enjoy the property, we do not however enjoy removing rock from around fire pits. Please DO NOT put rocks around the fires! This is a safety reason. We also ask please make sure the campfires are fully extinguished prior to leaving, unattended fires like these is what cause massive bush fires and potential loss of lives and homes, please help keep our property beautiful.
