24.01.2022 A Belted Galloway Bull has made a Houdini escape from a property in Numinbah Valley near the Hall. Has a yellow tag in its ear. If anyone spots it, please let me know ASAP. P.S. this photo is for reference only, not the actual bull.

23.01.2022 COMMUNITY UPDATE #5 Good afternoon everyone, due to the current heat and weather conditions we have a flare up at Egg Rock. Crews are currently monitoring the situation. 22.01.2022 Couldn't have said it better myself! Check out the event page for a sneak preview of the amazing stalls we have this Sunday, there will be 40 this month! We are currently raising funds to have the beautiful Hall repainted so come on out and support a small non-profit organization who supports the community who are in turn supporting hardworking local businesses ... See you ALL there!

20.01.2022 Well that was the fanciest Santa entrance I have ever seen! Santa and his elves arrived on a beautiful horse and cart owned by a local family with an entourage of the Numinbah Valley Rural Fire Brigade trucks which were then used to light up the grounds of the Hall so Santa could hand out presents to all the children of Numinbah. The kids loved every minute! The Hall truly plays a special role within the Numinbah Valley Community. It gives us all the feels seeing everyone c...ome together to celebrate Christmas and support the local school kids. Without the committed volunteers behind the scenes, these nights could never happen. Thank you too every one who organised, decorated, supported, donated and of course Santa and his Elves. You all made it a very special night

Come along for a beautiful night and relax in the air-conditioning, singing carols, being merry, enjoying a chilled to perfection beverage and showing support for the local students.... See you there!

16.01.2022 We are disappointed to inform everyone that our Twilight Market has been cancelled due to the storm predicted this afternoon. Thank you to all of our stall hold...ers for their support in the lead up and to their understanding in this unfortunate situation. Many of them have websites or Facebook pages where you can buy direct from them so please show your support for local businesses and continue to shop small this Christmas. You can find everyones info in previous posts or pm me for details and I will forward them on. Have a safe and happy Christmas everyone. See you next year! Next market is January 5th 8am-1pm.

16.01.2022 Great turnout today at our hall for our Public Meeting covering many important issues affecting our hinterland rural communities. There were several unanimous resolutions passed and designated campaigns to follow. This is the first step in people power holding our governments accountable.

16.01.2022 Please help save our beautiful local Numinbah Forest Park in Numinbah Valley. I'm sure many of you would have visted this lovely park. Demolition could start as soon as tomorrow. Please sign, comment and share.

15.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, We have another flare up at Nixon's Creek but it is within containment lines. Our crew and Park's have been out to check on it and will continue to monitor the situation. Also the fire ban has been extended until midnight Friday 13th December.... Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious flames or smoke. Kind Regards Danni Yaun Secretary Numinbah Valley RFB

14.01.2022 So the demolition crew have left today. Our hearts break to see where our beautiful stone shelter and park facilities once stood. Even my grandchildren asked ..."Who destroyed our park Nanny?" The soil that is left is very fine and soft, as soon as we get some rain it will wash down the slope into the river. If any of us were to leave the land in this state we would be charged but it seems the government can do what they like with no consequences. The track leading to the swimming hole has been barricaded. The minster claims that the site is less popular for swimming due to the expansion of Hinze Dam (2011) and the watercourse of the river changed after Tropical Cyclone Debbie (2017). Please note in the photo the bedrock of the river and the bank are solid basalt so obviously no change! I'm sure many of you out there would certainly agree with me just how popular this swimming spot is, or should I say was..... She also claims that this decision was carefully considered. Obviously by everyone but the community! There are now 3028 petitioners (and rising) that absolutely disagree with this decision but were not given a say! This is far from over! Our community are only getting angrier and demand answers. We want our facilities rebuilt (even though they will never replace our local cultural heritage ). Thank you for the overwhelming support and please continue to share and sign. #forestpark #numinbahvalley #stateforestpark #numinbahpark http://chng.it/Zm2hCp2m

13.01.2022 What an amazing group effort for a fantastic Cause. Well done to all involved, especially Erica for leading the team!

13.01.2022 Community Update #4 Phil Thomson, First Officer NVRFB, together with Second Officer Lionel Thomson, yesterday inspected the sterling work National Parks with assistance from Seqwater, are doing to reinforce containment lines and burn out any unburnt vegetation which would otherwise continue to smoulder and ignite. This work should also prevent any fire from accessing more volatile vegetation types which would be of concern. This work will be ongoing.... Please remain alert and vigilant, report any other suspicious smoke or fire to 000. Kind Regards Danni Yaun Secretary Numinbah Valley RFB

13.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, our crews along with two parks crews went in on foot today and were successful in blacking out the fire north of Egg Rock. They will continue to monitor the area but all is going well. Another fine job completed by our team and Parks! Thanks guys! Kind Regards... Danni Yaun Numinbah Valley RFB See more

05.01.2022 Demolition crew has just arrived at Forest Park down in Numinbah. A peaceful, socially distancing protest is underway down there down. Head there now if you sup...port this park staying in place as a local popular swimming hole and picnic area. Add your name to the petition, save Numinbah Forest Park at change.org if you cant get down there. http://chng.it/nVnkrfgPwd Springbrook, Numinbah and the best swimming hole in the district!

04.01.2022 So this is what our beautiful stone shelter and toilet block now looks like today! This was a beautiful peice of art. We feel so gutted tonight. What they ha...ve done just makes no sense! Why wasn't the community consulted? We could have all worked together and come up with answers to keep our cultural history. The minister claims she is giving the community green space to be enjoyed all year round! That's what we bloody well had and it was shared by many families on the Gold Coast and beyond. As our sorrow turns to disgrace and anger we will fight for our park to be reinstated! The minister should get out of her office and come out and see our beautiful Valley for herself before she destroys any more of it! Please continue to show your support by signing and sharing the petition, we now have 2343 signatures! Thank you to everyone who have supported our petition! #forestpark #numinbahvalley #stateforestpark #numinbahpark http://chng.it/Zm2hCp2m
