13.01.2022 2021 Inter-regionals Expression of Interest: Hi all Goulburn tennis players and families, Great news! Tennis Victoria a couple of days ago has given us the all ...clear to start planning for the 65th Inter-regional Country Championships that will be going ahead at Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club from Friday 8 January to Sunday 10 January. If you would like to be considered for the Goulburn team and try to help make it 5 in a row for our great region, please send your name and age as of the 31st January 2021 in by next Sunday 15th November. Sorry about the short notice but there will not be a lot of time to get the team picked so you can sort accommodation etc. Once I have a list of players interested I will let you know a plan. I want to make sure the process is fair and that everyone who puts their hand up has a chance of selection. We will be taking the best available team to try regain the title again, So please get involved, spread the word and let's make sure we have a full team to take to Warrnambool in Jan 2021. Age groups are 18/u, 16/u, 14/u, 12/u, 25/u, Open, Over 35, & Over 50. 13.01.2022 1st day of Juniors yesterday was so great to see the courts full, the kids out there having fun, great matches to watch and finally feeling some freedom for them to do what they love Welcome Back Kids .. Great to have you back supporting our great club in what has been a very tough year

12.01.2022 Today saw the final day of our Junior Tennis competition for the season ... what a fabulous season it's been with a great group of kids and our co-ordinator Strazz who's been a massive contributor to our juniors Thanks everyone for a great year

12.01.2022 First round action took place yesterday with 3 teams at home and the Warriors having a general bye. GM2: Raiders 4 sets 47 games to Shepp Giants 7 sets 63 games It was all tied up going into the mixed but unfortunately all the mixed sets went the way of the Giants. Strazz was able claim 2 sets for the day. The girls unfortunately could only grab one set for the day with Caitlyn having a comfortable singles victory 6-1 and was unlucky in the doubles going down in a tie breaker... with Hannah 8-7. Welcome Hannah who is stepping up from the Ravens this year and thank-you to Aaron Niglia for filling in for the Raiders this week. We welcome Aaron and his Mum Lisa to the club, playing with the Warriors this year. GM3: Penguins 7 sets 82 games to Nathalia 6 sets 60 games. Craig and Col won all 3 sets and Cathy won 2, including a 8-0 win in the mixed with Col. The Penguins have a few new faces this season with Col joining from the Raiders and the Kam boys- Michael and James, stepping up from the Ravens. A big thanks to Cathy Brown for stepping up from the Ravens this week. GM3 OPEN: Ravens 9 sets 72 games Tatura 0 sets 23 games. Liam, Hudson, Pete, Graham, Eamon and Katie all winning three sets each! Pete had a day out, only giving away 2 games for the day and so did Katie only giving away 4 games. The Ravens have injected some young blood this season with the Storer boys- Eamon and Hudson and Nathan Page joining. We also welcome back Liam Booth and Dieter Page after a few seasons on the sidelines. This Saturday all teams are on the road, with the Warriors taking on the Shepparton Bulls, Raiders head over to Yarrawonga, the Penguins and the Ravens are both on the road over to Kyabram. Good luck to all teams.

GM1: Lisa Niglia & son Aaron won their mixed doubles 8-7. Welcome both Lisa & Aaron to NTLC GM2: Club legend Matt Cason & son Rhys won their doubles 8-2. No surprises there for those who know the Cason's. GM3: The Kam brothers, James & Michael, both played singles and battled hard after moving up a grade this season.
