25.01.2022 SENIOR WRAP Our A grade boys got their first win of the season whilst B grade went to 3-0 in an impressive performance. C grade just went down resulting in 2/3 from the weekend for the blues. Dylan Grandell and Michael Eckard combined for 145 runs which set the scene for A grade's first win before Liam Gledhill and Mitch Grandell did the damage with the ball.... In B grade, Kody Jackson made an impressive 69, combining with skipper Sean Dawson (38 not out) who continues his great start to the season. Reyden Lacuin and Brad Parnell were the best of the bowlers each picking up three wickets. C grade were unable to take down Undera despite the best efforts of Jason Verhoeven (32 & 1/21). 20.01.2022 WEDNESDAY JUNIOR RESULTS Our Under 10s travelled to Shepp to take on Pine Lodge. The boys come up short but put in a fantastic performance, continuing to improve every week and a win is not far away! With Friday's predicted forecast, the Under 12s played tonight and had an excellent result, defeating Shepp United. Some oustanding bowling from Joel O'Dwyer (3/4) followed by impressive hitting from Kyren Dawson (40), Alex Robertson (32) and Nash Siermans (23) gave the boys a... fantastic win! Well done to everyone involved and coach Steve Morris on the victory! 20.01.2022 UNDER 13B & UNDER 15B COUNTRY WEEK WRAP Whilst both the Under 13 sides and the Under 15B side didn’t make finals all the boys did a fantastic job representing the club! Congratulations to Zavier Morris and Riley Dobson for their efforts in the Under 15B and congratulations to our four Under 13 lads (pictured below) Ollie Ruscoe, Kyren Dawson, Alex Robertson & Nash Siermans!

20.01.2022 ** NYCCC A Grade Captain 2021/22 ** The club is pleased to announce that Dylan Grandell has signed on as A Grade Captain for season 2021/22. We look forward to Dylan building on his work from 2020/21 !

19.01.2022 SENIOR MILESTONE Our opening fast bowler brings up his 100th senior game today against Central Park. Matty has taken 116 wickets across all grades including 87 wickets in his 64 A grade games. Matt has also made 473 runs and proved last week his batting is not to be underrated. Congrats Matty and I am sure you will enjoy a sprite or two post game. Special mentions also go out to Sean Dawson and Bailey Roberts who are both playing their 50th senior games!

18.01.2022 PLAYER MILESTONE A massive congratulations to a stalwart of the NYCCC, Tim Braybon who plays his 200th senior game tomorrow. Tim has given a power of work on and off the field. With over 200 senior wickets, more than 150 coming in A grade and close to 2000 senior runs and two A grade premiership medals, Tim has been a vital part of the A grade side for over a decade. Well done Tim and good luck tomorrow!

13.01.2022 RD 2 TEAM SELECTIONS Teams are in for Round 2. The Under 14s kick off their season tomorrow playing at home against Old Students. Zav Morris plays his first game for NYCCC and we wish him all the best. The 16s are currently doing battle with Shepp United as they look for their second straight win. C grade also kick off their season against Euroa whilst A and B grade take on Waaia. ... GO BLUES

12.01.2022 The Under 12s competed last night against a strong Tatura outfit, just coming up short. It was a much improved performance by the boys and a win is just around the corner! 09.01.2022 SENIOR MILESTONE Last Saturday, Tyson Woods reached 2500 senior runs for NYCCC. Woodsy has been a big part of the club across all grades as he enters his tenth season, resulting in 106 games. Tys has made just shy of 1000 runs in A grade during his time and is now helping nurture the younger brigade in B and C grade. To go with the runs, Tys has spent plenty of time behind the stumps with 44 catches and 7 stumpings. Well done Woody!

09.01.2022 CRICKET REPORT It was a day of mixed results today for NYCCC as A grade went down but B grade had a fantastic performance! A grade only managed 79 off their 20 overs and Central Park chased it down in 12 overs. Matt Cline was the standout performer with 23 not out and 1/7. ... B grade posted 3/166 with Central Park only managing 131 in response. It was James Pruden’s day at Deakin as he managed a fantastic 95 not out. The boys are enjoying some food and drinks at one of our great sponsors the Telegraph Hotel!

07.01.2022 SENIOR MILESTONE Saturday saw Jaydo Lau bring up his 4000th A grade run. Jaydo becomes only the 4th cricketer at NYCCC to bring up 4000 runs behind Mark Brown, Liam Gledhill and Gavin Napier. Lau has played 183 A grade games, been apart of the last two A grade premierships and continues to work tirelessly on and off the field for our club. Well done Jaydo!

07.01.2022 RD 1 RESULTS A mixed weekend for NYCCC with two wins and two losses. B Grade and the Under 16s got their years off to the perfect start whilst A Grade and the Under 12s will be looking to bounce back this week. Our Under 10s were scheduled to play their first game last night but the weather gods were not on their side! A full rundown of each grade can be found in the photos. 04.01.2022 JUNIOR WRAP The NYCCC Under 16s continued their unbeaten start to the season with an impressive victory over Shepp United. A great all round team performance! Our Under 14s and 12s both went down, but the kids continue to show improvement each week and wins are not far away!... We also had our Under 10s (pictured below) begin their campaign last Wednesday. Our youngest cricketers had a close loss to Kyabram. Well done boys!
