19.01.2022 DO IT FOR DOLLY DAY Friday May 14th. Dolly was a teenage girl who took her own life due to online bullying. The year 7s at Numurkah College will be hosting Do It For Dolly Day tomorrow morning to raise awareness on the impacts of cyberbullying. We would love to see lots of staff and students wearing additional blue over their school uniform (Blue was Dolly's favourite colour) and bring a gold coin donation. The year 7s will also be running a BBQ and cake stall at recess. We w...ould love your help and support with extra cupcakes, brownies, anything at all that we can add to sell at our fundraiser tomorrow. Students have done a fantastic job in promoting our day around the school and we look forward to helping raise money for the Dolly foundation. 17.01.2022 As previously communicated please note the following plans for Term Four: Week One: From Monday 5 October: Wednesday the 7th of October: Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) students will attend on-site for the General Achievement Test (GAT).... There will be no online sessions for students in Year 7 to 10 during Week One. Students in Year 7 to 10 are encouraged to continue to work through Term Three work packs and KLA work. If you require extra work for your child please do not hesitate to make contact and we can provide you with extension packs. Year 11 and 12 students will continue to be engaged in remote learning online classes as per their normal timetable. From Monday 12 October: All school students, including Years 7 to 10 and VCE and VCAL students will return to on-site learning. 04.01.2022 As we come to the end of a productive day working beside our VCE students, who received their final results this morning, we congratulate the VCE class of 2020 on their commitment to learning and their tremendous resilience which has transpired into some excellent outcomes. As a College Community today we also acknowledge and congratulate our Year 12 VCAL students whose Foundation, Intermediate and Senior VCAL outcomes have now been successfully completed and finalised. Well... done all on your fabulous work! Despite the trials and disappointments experienced this year, our Year 12 students focus on learning and community never wavered. We particularly acknowledge the effort, persistence and learning growth of the many students who faced significant adversity and challenges during the two periods of remote learning, your strength and grit during the tough times was inspiring. We take this opportunity to acknowledge the student-centred and solution-focused leadership of our VCAL Leader, Cat Palmer and the adaptive and supportive Year 12 VCAL teaching team: Kerrie Norton, Lesley Valpied, Jack Tynan, Ian Tilly, Cat Palmer and Kylie Hicks.
