02.01.2022 An urgent message to my valued clients, dear followers and lovers of their (pooch) fur babies from Sth East QLD and northern NSW.The HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS, sadly OFTEN DEADLY and EXPENSIVE to TREAT PARVO (pooch) disease, has made what vets are referring to as, "an unprecedented amount of families mourning the loss of their much-loved pets over recent weeks! It's widely known that Parvo's extremely contagious but the symptoms to look out for isusually severe vomiting and a bloody ...diarrhoea which severely dehydrates your pup.Puppies should receive their first vaccines at 6-8 weeks of age; boosters should be administered at 3-week intervals until the puppy is 16 weeks of age, and then again at one year of age. Previously vaccinated adult dogs need boosters every year. (that was information from Google so is just as a guide only so of course, follow the regime that your own furbaby's vet recommends)The disease can wreak havoc on puppies, dogs of all ages and especially senior dogs so if you suspect your pet may have come in contact with an infected dog or have contracted this insidious illness themselves, PLEASE keep it away from dog parks and areas where dogs congregate until he or she can be examined by a vet. It's being covered on most news outlets but I just wanted to bring it to your attention and I thank you for your continued support of this page and I hope to grow it over the next year and get some good content on here of different varieties for your entertainment, knowledge, general information and maybe even a bit of fun!
