25.01.2022 Rotary International is an organisation which allows 1.2 million very motivated individuals to find other people with the same mindset - to do good in the world. Each club has its own projects based on the needs and desires of the community - local, National and International. Nundah Rotary have for many years been motivated by our young people. Rotary has development many programs for young people between 8 and 30, and Nundah Rotary has supported the programs over many year...s. One program Nundah support is National Youth Science Forum (NYSF), an experience over 2 weeks for kids interested in STEM (Science,Technology, Mathematics, Engineering). This year we had 3 applicants, who all battled high level competition to gain a spot in the 2021 experience. We are very proud to help these young men and women on their journeys. Congratulations to all. #NundahRotary #PeopleOfAction #District9600 See more

21.01.2022 We are obsessed with numbers in our organization. "We only have 10 members " or "We need more people to help do xyz" let us focus on forming relationships with potential new members and I guarantee they will stay if they aren't made to feel like a number.
21.01.2022 What a great fundraising idea, and for such a great cause. This event should be a hoot!! In our times of flu lockdown, we can still all be out there enjoying.
20.01.2022 Rotary clubs in Australia and New Zealand have contributed to the largest-ever Rotary Foundation Grant to fund vital healthcare equipment on the world’s largest... purpose-built NGO hospital ship, operated by Mercy Ships. The ‘Global Mercy’ launches in 2021 and will double the NGO’s healthcare impact throughout West Africa by providing six surgical specialities, as well as training for local healthcare workers. Money donated by Craig Brodey, of Lane Cove Rotary, Rotary District 9685, together with contributions from New Zealand’s Rotary Club of Morrinsville - District 9930 Inc, Rotary District 9930 Central North Island New Zealand, forms part of the 2020 Rotary Foundation global grant of US$1.125 million, helping outfit six operating theatres, three infection isolation rooms, six wards, and an intensive care unit on board the Global Mercy. Worldwide, two out of three people could not access surgery when they need it pre-COVID-19. More than 18 million people were dying unnecessarily from conditions that could have been treated by surgery because they could not afford it, could not access it, or it was simply not available in their country at any time. In 2020 this need has escalated. During the 50-year lifespan of the ‘Global Mercy’, it is estimated more than 150,000 people will be transformed through free essential surgery. The addition of the new hospital ship will enable Mercy Ships to reach more people in need and train more local healthcare professionals, while leaving a sustainable, lasting healthcare legacy. 11.01.2022 Last week, Nundah Rotary got together in REAL SPACE. An intrepid bunch of Rotarians met, ate and listened with interest as Sharon Gyngell of Northside Connect told of the many programs her group performs and hosts for the local area. Legal, mental, food and community interests are among the many varied services they enable and support. Nundah Rotary are happy to support them in helping the local community. @NundahRotary @Rotary9600 @PeopleofAction
