25.01.2022 A lot of our clients recognise the importance of dental health in their pets and do the right thing by feeding their pet dental chews and dental diets They then become disheartened when they come in for a health check and are told their pet is still suffering from dental disease In order for preventative dental care to work your pet needs a clean slate to start from, this is where a scale and polish is essential Take advantage of our once a year dental promotion and get $50 off your pets dental treatment for the month of August and September

25.01.2022 Congratulations, Benson!!

24.01.2022 Check the following indicators to see if your pet is overweight: 1. Can you feel each of your pets ribs? 2. Is your pets chest wider than its abdomen? 3. Does your pets stomach tuck up higher than its chest? If you answered no to any of these questions then your pet might be overweight!

20.01.2022 Dental disease is graded on a scale of 1-4 in dogs and cats, with 4 being the worst Dental disease is caused by a buildup of plaque on the teeth which then leads to gingivitis, inflammation of the gums. If untreated the plaque and gingivitis in your pets mouth can worsen and become tartar which can cause tooth decay or tooth loss However, dental disease is preventable and we are here to help treat your pets dental disease Book your pet in for a FREE dental check with one of our nurses to get started. You can also take advantage of our dental promotion during August and September and get $50 off all dentals and great discounts on dental pet food!

19.01.2022 TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY! Now that QLD is open to Queenslanders, here are some more travel tips from Northshore Pet Resort team member Taya: Mooloolaba Only ab...out an hour from Brisbane are some of the most beautiful beaches and cool coastal spots. Mooloolaba has a lovely esplanade with lots of restaurants, or you can head over to the Mooloolaba Wharf for a lovely view of the marina with excellent bars and a range of restaurants (I highly recommend Riceboi or Ninth Street!). Take the kids to SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium where there are amazing marine animals to view and an awesome seal show (and even the option to get a seal kiss photo!). Then you can book a tour with Sunreef and go snorkeling on Old Woman Island reef, whale watching or even swimming with the whales. Mooloolaba is a great place to see some whales around this time of year. There are some great camp sites that are just a quick walk to the beach or some affordable modern hotels. Mooloolaba is close, community based, and has everything needed for a fun, relaxing beach holiday. ~ Taya https://www.sunshinecoast-australia.com/old-woman-island-mu

14.01.2022 Dova is a handsome young boy looking for a quiet, calm foster home. Thinking about becoming a foster carer? These are the words of one of IWaGs regular foster ...carers. "This is why I foster 2 months ago, I met a shut down young greyhound. She smiled when nervous, was timid to touch and scared of everything. Today, she graduates into her furever home. This gorgeous girl is a cheeky minx, a kleptomaniac and loves a good zoomy at night, but she takes a piece of my heart with her. I lose nothing by fostering. My husband has lost the odd meal by table surfers and the kids have lost a few stuffed toys to houndigans but we lose nothing by watching these beauties blossom. I am her bridge to a new life. We are so proud of how much she has grown in 2 months." If you think you could help a hound transition to pet life by being a foster carer, learn more on our website www.iwag.com.au/foster or email IWaG at [email protected]

10.01.2022 With ticks and fleas being worse in the summer months we are often asked if pets need parasite prevention all year round or just in the hotter weather Our answer is to keep up prevention all year round!
