13.01.2022 Hi everyone, tonight APS is hosting a student event, please see below for details: Experts in the Field 10 May 7:30pm-9:00pm AEST This event will provide psychology students with valuable information regarding what a day in the life of a psychologist looks like from experts in their field, while also helping students connect with the APS and its benefits.... This event includes 3 speakers who will each present for 15 minutes and include a 15 minute Q+A per speaker. It is presented in a casual webinar format and aims to provide insight into specialisations and endorsements within the profession which may not always be covered by academic studies. Presenters: Dr. Jon Finch - Clinical Psychologist 7:30-8:00pm AEST Dr. Chris Kozar - Forensic Psychologist 8:00-8:30pm AEST Dean Janover - General Psychologist 8:30-9pm AEST Price: Free for APS Students, free for APS Associates and Members or $10 for non-members. 07.01.2022 APS is hosting a webinar this Friday evening (tomorrow) 16 April 2021 which they recommend students to attend. Please see below for details: It is ‘Life After 4th Year’ hosted by the South West Sydney APS Branch. Presenter, Ceara Rickard will cover key ideas that will help with the next steps in becoming a Psychologist, with a focus on internships.... Attendee outcomes include: 1. Understanding the various pathways to registration as a psychologist in Australia, including positives and negatives of each and reflect on own preferred pathway to registration 2. Knowing how to identify potentially appropriate internships for the 4+2 and 5+1 pathways based on job advertisements and position descriptions 3. Understanding key considerations when applying for and interviewing for internships The price is $10 for APS Student Subscribers or $30 for non-APS students.
