12.01.2022 Presidents Preview 15/5 Nuri Hockey club would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all involved in Pink Round last weekend and to everyone who supported the cause by wearing pink, donating at the gate and purchasing the goodies available. We don’t have a final figure of funds raised yet but it’s looking good so far. It was great to hear our club song being sung with heart last Saturday with wins coming from U14, U16 and A Women. Add in some nail biter games from our A Men and C... Men and the season is shaping up to be a cracker. There are no A Grade games this weekend due the Country Champs being played. Congratulations to our Nuri players Jordan Rhind, Cody Longo, Josh Longo, David McInerney, Andrea Seymour, Amy Wilsdon, Tyler Burgess & Brie Burgess who have all been selected to represent the Barossa along with Marty Gallasch and Jordan Rhind coaching. Good luck everyone! The games for C & B men have been moved to the Sunday at 1.00 & 2.30pm. What better way to spend a Sunday arvo than coming out to cheer on our boys while they take on Tanunda. We are on canteen again this week and rosters have been sent out to team managers. Please make sure you check when you’re rostered on. Many hands make light work! Congratulations to all of the Clubs who have teams playing this weekend including our own Mighty A Men team. Off the field there are a couple of other activities to share; 1. Between 12 pm & 2 pm successful bidders in our Grand Final Week Online Auction can pay/collect their goods from the Club Shed. 2. Details of our Post Grand Final event have been shared on the Senior Men & Women pages. 07.01.2022 Presidents Preview 28/5 Last weekends round had it all - blood, sweat and tears... of joy! I have to give a special mention to our B Grade Women’s team who had their first win in over 4 years. It’s been a long time coming and you would have been forgiven for thinking they’d won the final!! Our C Grade men also clocked their first win for the season. The action starts tonight at 6.30pm with our A grade men, finally getting back out on the field, up against fierce rivals Tanu...nda. Grab your beanie, head out to Stocky and cheer the boys on. Canteen will be operating so you don’t even have to cook tea! Another split round this week with our B Grade men and women heading to Trinity in the afternoon, both taking on Gawler. Our B men have been in fine form and the women will be hungry for another win! Our mini juniors U7’s & U9’s played their game last night so the day starts with the U11’s up first. There have been 2 new teams added so U11 fixture has changed- please remember to look at the latest version. Both take on Tanunda at Stockwell (green team previously at Trinity). Next up is our U14’s. Impressive win last week, they’ll be looking to keep it going. U13’s next, taking on Tanunda while our U16’s have the bye. A Women line up against Tanunda and will be regrouping after a disappointing result last week. C men close out the day taking on CDHA. We are on Canteen again the weekend so please make sure you do your shift when rostered on.
