24.01.2022 An Afternoon With NTB is officially SOLD OUT!!! Thank you to our friends, families and the broader community for supporting the band in what has been a tough year for live music. We look forward to performing for you all on Sunday.

24.01.2022 Nuriootpa Town Band is looking for a Musical Director. Our current MD is leaving us around the end of July so we have a unique opportunity to have a transition period for our MD to pass over information. 21.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who came along to the 2020 'An Afternoon With NTB' concert. We had a great time performing for you all. Hopefully we'll see you all later in the year for some Christmas performances, otherwise we're hoping to get back out there next year for more live concerts.

20.01.2022 A big thank you to all players who attended last night's rehearsal to farewell Katherine from her role as MD of NTB. Katherine was presented with a signed photograph of the band at last year's Afternoon With NTB concert.

19.01.2022 NTB marching in the Credit Union Christmas Pageant, 2016. Fact to note: the announcers say it is NTB's first appearance in the Pageant, but back in 1973 NTB, then a brass band, earned the honour of leading the Pageant due to being the winners of the Australian National Band Championships.

19.01.2022 The South Australian Band Association is the governing body for brass and concert bands here in S.A. and they give great support to bands, host events throughout the year and encourage people to give banding a try....

18.01.2022 Welcome to our first Tuneful Tuesday! On the second Tuesday each month we'll be sharing a video of one of the concert bands based here in South Australia. Today's video is by our nearest concert banding neighbours, Gawler Town Band. They recently put on an online concert via their website with some well-known medleys, so that in the current COVID-safe times they could play a gig and everyone at home could enjoy their music. 12.01.2022 Nuriootpa Town Band always welcomes new players to our band hall. We rehearse 7:30-9:30pm, Tuesday evenings each week throughout the year, with a short break over the New Year period. Not sure if you play a concert band instrument? If you play oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, french horn, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, Bb trumpet, tenor trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, tuba, bass guitar or percussion you are able to join a concert band. We are an ensemble... of many genres - jazz, pop, rock, classical, songs from stage and screen, marches, as well as symphonic music written especially for concert band. 11.01.2022 THE SEARCH IS OVER!!! The band very pleased to announce that we have found our new Musical Director - Sonia Samain. Sonia is a local instrumental music teacher and has also previously been MD of Nuriootpa Town Band, so we are glad to have such an experienced person taking on the important role of MD. If anyone from the community has any great photos or videos of NTB in action we would love for you to send them through to us to be included in our Albums. Please include the name, date and location of the event so we can accurately caption your contributions. If you would like photo/video acknowledgement please include your name, such as personal name or business name.

05.01.2022 We at Nuriootpa Town Band want to thank Katherine Trevilyan for her time and energy as our Musical Director. Tomorrow night will be Katherine's final rehearsal in the role of MD. We urge as many members as possible to come along to say thanks to Katherine.

03.01.2022 Maybe your instrument isn't one you'd normally find in a concert band, but you're looking for more opportunities to perform? Perhaps your secondary instrument is woodwind, brass or percussion, but your primary instrument isn't - you could play both in a concert band when we need an unusual instrument. Concert bands have quite a flexible instrumentation and from time to time certain pieces will require guitars, keys/pianos, vocals, maybe a harp, or even some more sci-fi sounding instruments like theramins (which can be played using computer-based apps these days).
