05.01.2022 Today remembering the Diggers that made the ultimate sacrifice, as well the important role that the doctors & nurses that provided care to the wounded to ensure our quality of life. November 11th 1918 marked the end to the hostilities on the Western Front. A historic event marked by the Flanders poppy. Red poppies were one of the first plants to grow following the devastation that occurred on the battlefields of northern France and Belgium during the First World War. The red coloured Flanders poppy were representative of the blood of the fallen soldiers. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. We will remember them.
