17.01.2022 It's Heart Week! This year Heart Week aims at raising awareness on heart health and empowering people to take a better look at their overall heart health.... Did you know there is evidence on links between oral health and heart disease? Recent studies show that if you have gum disease in a moderate or advanced stage, you're at greater risk for heart disease than someone with healthy gums. We encourage all patients to book in for a Heart Health Assessment with Nurture Family Health Centre and book in for a dental check up! #HeartWeek

14.01.2022 HEART WEEK May 3 9, 2021 Dr Tara Hillier is a National Heart Ambassador for Queensland. Nurture Family Health Centre takes pride in primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. As a 2021 National Heart Ambassador for Queensland, what better time than Heart Week to take the opportunity to promote healthy heart awareness.... This year our focus will be on presenting patients with more opportunities to raise their awareness on heart health by delivering Heart Health Checks to eligible patients, as well as empowering people to take a better look at their overall heart health. At this time of increased health awareness, we are encouraging our patients to get back to looking after their heart health: a great place to start is by keeping up with regular medical appointments and speaking with their doctor about relevant medical tests. Eligible patients will be contacted via our practice recall system and invited to book in for a Heart Health Assessment over the coming weeks. We look forward to raising awareness around heart health and improving your overall health. See more
