Something I have wanted to do for a very long time and now my dream is coming true Hours for 2021 will be as follows -... Monday - 9:30am to 3pm Tuesday -11am to 8pm Wednesday- Not available Thursday-9:30am to 3pm Friday-9:30am to 3pm And 1 Saturday a month from 9am to 4pm Thank you for your understanding

20.01.2022 When I was pregnant I spent SO much time researching. The best pram, the perfect cot. I ordered a custom made organic cotton cot mattress. I organised the nurse...ry cupboards over and over - where would be the best place for cotton buds? Where could nappies be stored for best accessibility? How would I sort her clothes? I had 3 matching frames above the cot, with a picture from my pregnancy, a daffodil symbolic from my childhood, and a wedding photo. One night just as I’d put the final touches on the nursery and sat back in the rocking chair, a frame fell and smashed, shattering glass everywhere. I cried. I think now maybe I had a sense of things falling apart, I just didn’t recognise it yet. I never got to use that nursery. Shoving those meticulously organized clothes into plastic bags and eventually seeing removalists carry out the furniture. Regardless, she never spent a full night sleeping in that cot, and I type this with her next to me in my bed. The things we can be led to think matter, often don’t matter. The thing I WOULD prepare for in the same way? Birth, and navigating the maternity system. Otherwise, I’d do things pretty differently... I’d research what biologically normal infant sleep is. I’d research infant mental health. I’d read books by Pinky McKay and Sarah Ockwell-Smith I’d follow Evolutionary Parenting The Postnatal Project and join The Beyond Sleep Training Project and follow many amazing others on here - pls tag I’d cancel my email alerts to baby tracking sites with milestone updates. I’d spend the money I spent on that cot, on a postpartum doula instead. The time I spent organising the nursery, I’d channel into listening to podcasts and preparing for matresence. I’d look to the mothers who have done this before. Who seem to be mothering in ways that align with my sense of values that feel good for me. But I’d also get out of my head and back fully into my body. That’s what was leading me. That’s how I would birth - both my baby and me. Rather than looking so heavily outside of me, I’d turn inwards. What would you do differently if you had the chance?
