24.01.2022 On Friday evening I attended @she_awakening ‘s Spring Equinox women’s circle in her magical Moon lodge. It was so glorious to be able to soak in the circle medicine as an attendee as opposed to facilitator and space holder. Although I do love both roles equally Artemis held the space so lovingly and thoughtfully guiding us through a powerful visualisation into our womb space to meet with our inner Maiden. This was so powerful for me, at one point I shape shifted into a bl...ack python I have been doing a LOT of inner Maiden work lately, serendipitously all in divine timing with mid Spring upon us! Artemis asked that we bring along a photograph of our Maiden self around the time of our menarche, and digging out my old photos has instigated all the memories and feelz. Loving on 12-15 yo Erin HARD at the moment. It’s been a HUGE few months and holding myself with tender, unconditional love has been essential. At the onset of this whole Rona sheebang @katherineeden_rewilding and I reluctantly had to cancel our upcoming circles I’m feeling the undeniable inspiration and itch to start them up again. Community is SO NEEDED right now. And as the saying goes; Each time women gather in circle with one another the world heals a little more - unknown And by Crikey we need alllllll the individual and collective healing we can get right now! Who is in?! Thank you Artemis for masterfully creating and holding such a sacred, safe space. So blessed to have you in my life Pic 1 - Circle Alter Pic 2 - 12yo Erin Pic 3 - 14yo Erin Pic 4 - 14yo Erin Pic 5 - black python unknown See more

24.01.2022 I was blessed to see this placenta born My doula clients lived a very traumatic first birth experience at the hands of an awfully broken system. They did not get to view or honour their first born’s placenta as they had wished. It was handed to them in a container & they did take it home & bury it under a tree after some time, but the bits in-between were missing. History was not going to be repeated. It was an integral component in their plans this time around to ensur...e this life sustaining organ was both celebrated & revered throughout pregnancy, labour, birth & the postpartum period. After this fierce lioness Mumma gloriously roared her beauty-full babe Earth-side, the placenta was thanked for all it had done, & was born physiologically about an hour following baby. Baby & placenta were left attached until the time felt right to sever their connection & then the honouring & celebrating continued The placenta, the root of your origin, is a miraculous organ that shares and protects your life. It is the conductor that unites you with your mother and serves as the control panel of the womb-ship that sustains you until you are born. It was conceived at the moment of your genesis. Your placenta is genetically identical to you. Though you share some of your parents’ genetic identity, unless you have a monozygotic (identical) twin, no one, except your placenta, has ever been so perfectly, exactly you. Sexual reproduction, the act of creating new life, only works because of the placenta. As mammals, we reproduce sexually, so sex is the reddest, hottest tile in the mosaic of our earthly lives, and the placenta is the mandala in the center of this miracle. Historically, our creation stories tell of the Earth Mother birthing the world: her amniotic fluid became the oceans, the placenta became the Tree of Life. This demonstrates how essential the placenta is to our survival and how embedded it is in our psyche. Ibu Robin Lim This is where it’s at fellow humans, this is what life is all about. 23.01.2022 Mango fandango My annual ‘first mango of the season’ shot Loves a yearly tradition Seriously though, I do love having my eyes open to the varying changes and appearances that signal the turning of the Pagan Wheel of The Year. We’ve just celebrated Ostara and Beltane is coming in early November.... Since I was a child the first appearance of mangoes have signalled the beginnings of my fav time of the year Spring-a-ling-a-ling-dong heading into those delicious scorching hot days of Summer... BRING IT! These precious fruits of the Goddess, full of pure golden sunshine delight, do all the good things to every part of me like eyes rolling into the back of my head style I would totally not be averse to bathing naked in their sticky, pulpy, sexy magic... just saying This mango right here, for me, represents the simplest of happy inducing feelz on a plate. It means the blossoms have fallen from our fruit trees which are now covered in a dense blanket of vibrant green foliage and fruit set has begun It means its time to start watering the garden again, a ‘chore’ I adore (see what I did there with the rhymes ). It means that the barbecue is coming out of hibernation and that beach weather is imminent... ohhhhhhhhhh exciting! I devoured this cheek in secret this morning because our children have inherited my mad amour for the majestic mango and I generally end up with the seed ripped off! Isaak and Halcyon’s devotion to the fruit has been unwavering... it’s definitely their drug of choice, to the point of epic meltdowns when they finish one Last year Lotus decided she was indifferent, but this year she is quite certain she loves them again... which means I now have a buddy to share with, a cheek each, then a showdown for seed rights! 2 mangoes a sitting... an expensive addiction it seems, but a LOT cheaper that cocaine so WINNING Mangoes have a rather distinct flavour that peeps seem to either completely love or totally hate... Do you love or dislike? Mangoes mangoes mangoes I could speak about them for hours apparently See more

19.01.2022 Jasmine I’m obsessed and always have been. It’s completely intoxicating aromas take me to another place. It’s my drug of choice ... I bang on about it to anyone who will listen and squeal in pure delight when the first buds appear signaling that Spring has sprung, the warmer weather is imminent and delicious balmy evenings are upon us. I’ve had a jasmine plant at almost every home I’ve ever lived in, and in this current home there is a wall of it! Aside from this feminine powerhouse being an antidepressant, aphrodisiac, antispasmodic, cicatrisant, expectorant, emmenagogue and sedative... it’s also a galactagogue! I’ll be saving the dried flowers this year FO SHO! COME AT ME DELICIOUS JASMINE TEA Jasmine Flower Latin Name: Jasminum Officianale Known uses: Prophetic Dreams Love Spells/Aphrodisiac Prosperity Spells Burn over charcoal, add to charm bags, blends, use as an offering. Native to Persia and Kashmir, jasmine was a sacred flower in ancient Persia. In China, jasmine flowers were strewn on New Year’s Day. It is symbolic of the moon and of the mysteries of the night. Use jasmine in spells for love or money. It is said to attract spiritual love. If burned in the bedroom, Jasmine will bring prophetic dreams. Jasmine is a potent aid to spiritual development as it is good for meditation, raising your vibration and attracting angelic beings. Other uses are for harmony, peace, astral projection and happiness. https://dreaminggoddess.com Traditional Use and Health Benefits Jasmine is believed to have originated in the Himalayas of western China, a country where this delicate, fragrant flower is known as the Queen of the Flowers. 18.01.2022 Equinox alter It is upon us... Spring equinox here in the South Fall/Autumn equinox in the North ... The traditional September equinox celebration date is the 21st but every year the exact time varies slightly & this year the exact astrological time in Australia (ACST) is the 22nd at 11.30pm. You can check at timeanddate.com for your local equinox time Equal parts day & night Light and dark - BALANCE What do you need to call in or let go of, to create more balance in your life? You’ve got 1 day to ponder and get back to me mmmk? My heart gets all flutterish at Spring equinox Fresh energy blows in on the jasmine scented breeze (the winds always seem to blow stronger at equinox helping to clear away all that no longer serves and blow out the cobwebs The increasing sunshine warms my tired bones & I catch myself standing in the sun at the kitchen window momentarily paralysed with pure joy I’ve also been Spring cleaning! Motivated to clean out closets, rearrange the playroom, weed, mow the lawn... anyone else? Spring Equinox holds the energy of the Maiden, so it’s no surprise that I’ve been presented many opportunities of late to really dive into some potent inner child/maiden work. It is the energy of the waxing moon (which we are currently experiencing also ) The budding rose It aligns with the follicular phase of the menstrual cycle (which I am currently in so ) Some handy dandy Spring Equinox journal reflections are; What do I need to call in to bring more balance into my life? What am I nurturing into bloom? What metaphorical weeds do I need to pull to enable the seeds I have sewn the best chance of thriving? How can I align with the young, fresh, heightened energy of Spring? Ostara (the name my pagan ancestors used for this festival on the wheel of the year) is where ‘Easter’ derived its name from. In the Southern Hemisphere we should now be celebrating Easter (but we have it all topsy turvy and still celebrate at the same time as our Northern Hemispherian ancestors did). Easter represents life & rebirth, bunnies + eggs (fertility), blossoms and baby lambs - new life is all around See more

I would definitely recommend this. My husband attended one of these sessions and he brought the book. In all honesty during my time in hospital he put everything into practice before labour, during and after. Thank you. - Carmen Fantastic session packed full of great information and two very competent doulas in a comfortable environment. No question was too dumb and all questions encouraged... there was no shortage of information from the engaging presenters. Would recommend. - David The class was a lot of fun and certainly very beneficial. Sophie and Erin were wonderful and very knowledgeable. I learnt some wonderful tips to use through the labour process. - Duncan https://beerandbubs.com.au/book-in-adelaide/

13.01.2022 The more I learn about & practice body oiling, the more it’s blowing my mind (thank you dear Rosie @theroseandradish for your patience with my millions of questions & for your divinely supportive products - your St John’s Wort body oil - phew ) I listened to @mythicmedicine ‘s podcast episode on healing herbal oils with @kamimcbride yesterday & by golly gosh did I learn a thing or 17 ... I highly recommend listening for yourself, but my fav takeaways were;... People throughout time have taken some kind of plant and some kind of fat, put them together & used it as medicine Don’t put it on your skin of you can’t eat it! If the skin is dry, the nerves are dry. The nerves sit directly below the skin. The synapses don’t communicate or fire as effectively if they’re dry. The fat of the oil goes into the nerves Staying moisturised through the skin helps with feelings of anxiety & irritation. Oil helps rehydrate & ground. Oil is the antidote to nervousness. It settles the nervous system Oiling effects the blood, the nerves & the lymphatic system. If the skin is dry, the lymph system is dry, & the lymph system carries our immune system. The skin is an immunological organ Body oiling supports the two main systems of our body. Our immune system & our nervous system Oil as much as the body will absorb Body oiling also acts as a sensory shield. By oiling your body you are wrapping yourself in a protective layer/shield that grounds your nervous system Body oiling is safe & effective for the whole family Oil your ear lobes! Your ear lobe is FULL of nerve endings & pressure points. Take your oil & rub it into your ear lobes & ears & it will ground & calm you I gently harvested these jasmine blossoms with permission & intention in the week leading up to Ostara They were layed out softly on a cloth in a safe place to dry for half a moon cycle I am infusing them in a mixture of sweet almond oil, apricot seed oil & olive oil I’m not sure how long I’ll infuse them for, I have more research to do... but I’m so excited to use this oil to lovingly anoint myself & can’t wait to expand my collection & experiment with other healing plants See more

09.01.2022 This beauty is the first bilobed placenta I have received and I was just a tad excited This is a variation of normal and just means that instead of there being one round placental plate, there are two lobes connected in the middle via a small bridge... magic! Also... this ... How cool are placentas? Here's a few interesting placenta facts: - The placenta is made up of 50% cells from the mother and 50% of the cells from the baby. If you know anything about organ donation, you will know how amazing it is that the mother’s body doesn’t reject it. - The sperm is responsible for creating the placenta and umbilical cord. So, technically, the placenta is *his* organ- growing in your body, supporting the baby you both created. How beautiful is that? - The baby’s blood and the mother’s blood never actually meet. The mothers blood carries all the oxygen and nutrients to the placenta which then filters out any impurities or toxins, then transfers the ‘goods’ into the vessels to the babies blood. - A placenta is typically about 1/6th the weight of the baby (1-3 lbs). - A baby can send stem cells through the placenta to heal its mother organs if they are struggling, including the brain, liver, kidney and lung. The placenta also creates cells to protect the mother’s heart and fend off breast cancer. - The placenta performs the duties of a lung, liver, kidney and its own endocrine system providing all the hormones for both mama and baby throughout pregnancy. *information taken from doulaspot.com* Photo shared with permission. I have section on my intake form where I ask my clients if they consent to me taking and potentially sharing images of their placenta and/or the encapsulation process. I only ever share if I have been gifted permission AND ONLY after my clients have seen the images first

09.01.2022 Women are biologically wired to feel at ease with other women. When we connect with other women our stress hormones decrease and our happy hormones increase. We are therefore able to feel pure potent pleasure which is the foundation of our existence. Our pleasure (physical and emotional) and our desires make up our internal GPS and when we off route from pleasure we encounter issues. When women gather we are able to experience this pleasure. It is biological and cellular.... As children, most of us were taught that our automatic stress response is that of fight, flight or freeze. But, studies have shown that for women our automatic stress response is actually to Tend and Befriend. Tend = Quieting and Caring for children, Get out of harm’s way Befriend = Create social networks to provide resources and protection for ourselves and our family. Oxytocin is the love hormone. It helps to destress, reduce anxiety, find clarity for the next decision, feel pleasure, improves immune system and overall health and wellbeing. Women can’t often fight or run because of their need to protect their children as well as themselves, so instead the way to lower the stress as a response to a potential threat is to unite together, befriend one another and protect the children, animals and each other. This response of uniting together lowers blood pressure, heart rate and adrenaline. In one study, female rats that were caged together lived 40% longer and defended together against threats. Another study showed that women who spent more time with other women felt less lonely than those who spent more time with men. If you’re feeling stressed, isolated or overwhelmed your biology is yearning for connection and you will feel better when you are supported by other women! This is why @nurturethegoddess and I are so passionate about creating circles for women to come together. We are not meant to be in isolation. Our inner wild is built for connection. Let’s tend and befriend because together we can do so much more. - @katherineeden_rewilding There are still a few spaces remaining for our in-person Goddess Gathering next Sunday - Join us, link in bio See more

07.01.2022 Before patriarchal times, Friday the 13th was considered the day of the Goddess. It was considered a day to worship the Divine Feminine that lives in us all and to honor the cycles of creation and death and rebirth Friday the 13th was considered a very powerful day to manifest, honor creativity and to celebrate beauty, wisdom and nourishment of the soul Friday is Venus Day and we all know that Venus is the epitome of feminine energy...... Friday is the perfect day to embrace Venus like energy and to focus on creativity, beauty and sensuality. Venus energy also encourages us to tune into our receptive female energy in order to stimulate our creativity and bring art, music and healing into the world The Number 13 also holds an extremely potent feminine energy and is considered to be the number of death and rebirth, creation, fertility and blood This is because we have13 Moon cycles every year and the average female also experiences 13 periods per year Before patriarchal times, when a woman was bleeding she was considered to embody divine and magical powers. She was regarded by all for her wisdom and ability to offer intuitive and psychic messages When she was ovulating, she was considered to be at the height of her power and was celebratedfor her ability to receive, hold and create new life Friday the 13th has often been held in high regards by women and the pagan community, and many rituals andspells are often conducted on this day in order to make the most of this beautiful energy. This has also helped to contribute to the fear surrounding Friday the 13th, as it was an important day for many who worshipped the cycles of nature (often referred to as witchcraft) We all have feminine energy in us, so Friday the 13th is not just for women Friday the 13th is not an unlucky day. Friday the 13th is the day of the Goddess and is a beautiful day for creating and celebrating life. It is a beautiful day for getting in tune with your emotions and sensitivities and giving thanks to the beautifulGoddess that lives in us all.
