20.02.2022 Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter

15.02.2022 Meet our new friends at Nurturing Little Ones FDC. I don’t know who’s more excited about this, me or the kids! As a child we had a swan plant in the garden and I loved observing them closely watching the different stages of the Monarch Butterfly lifecycle. Fast forward 20 or more years and I’m now sharing this with my son and the children that attended Nurturing Little Ones FDC. Over the past few weeks we have been watching some caterpillars growing on our swan plant in the g...arden. But sadly once they get to a certain size they have been disappearing, not sure if a bird has been getting them. So I decided to build them an indoor enclosure to keep them safe and allow the children an opportunity to witness the life cycle. On Saturday when the weather started to turn bad we collected three caterpillars with some leaves and put them in their new home. They have loved it so much, eating lots of leaves and growing bigger. Last night they all crawled onto the roof and are hanging ready to start the next stage of the lifecycle -creating a chrysalis. After our rest today the children went to check on our caterpillars and got very excited to see one had developed into a chrysalis. We are all very excited to observe what happens next. See more

03.02.2022 How cute are these Gumnut Christmas tree stamps, Thanks Global Gumnuts and Nursery, we love them.

22.01.2022 Can’t wait to add our new Bee & Hive dough cutters & Bee stamps to our environment next week. Over the past few weeks the children have been observing the Bees busy at work in our garden so these couldn’t have come at a better time, especially now we are in spring and we have lots more visiting. Thanks to Alisa Melouney from Playful Beginnings for stocking beautiful resources. Love being able to support local small businesses.

05.01.2022 Exciting times ahead

03.01.2022 Last week we got to welcome some little friends who are joining us on our family day care adventure, it was so nice to watch them explore the environment and engage in different activities. It has been a bit of a delayed start but we made it. We’re excited and ready for the adventure that lies ahead. Bring on this week!
