25.01.2022 I am Nusrat Islam, Candidate for Chaffey Ward in Wyndham City Council Election 2020. I’m a post graduate civil engineer, have been working in VicRoads as a Construction Engineer for 10 years. Currently I’m a Senior Road Engineer in Department of Transport. I’m confident I’ll understand the infrastructure requirement of the Wyndham area and deliver accordingly. I‘m a committee member of an ethnic school in Hoppers Crossing with 500 enrolled kids. I operate a women forum to su...pport and empower women through mentoring, especially during family violence and financial crisis. I am also serving the community as a Regional Advisory Council Member in Victorian Multicultural Commission. I have raised funds for Australian national crisis e.g. bush fire, COVID-19; helped vulnerable people in this pandemic; involved in distributing 1200 face masks and preparing approximately 800 face masks for school students in Wyndham. I seek your support in this election. 16.01.2022 It was great experience to work as a Cheif Editor of the technical magazine " INNOVATE, ICEA" , special edition COVID-19. We may never know how much our words or actions influence the lives of those around us. Through my involvements in community organizations I have initiated/organized/involved with more than 100 events/projects/programs related to health, education, finance, diversity, motivational, promote local and home businesses and connectedness etc. I am a volunteer of Neighbourhood Tarneit Central and Department of Heath and Human Services.
