19.01.2022 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The NUS condemns the demeaning increase from the coalition of $3.50 a week. This government is knowingly keeping young people below the poverty line. $3.50 isn’t a raise, it’s an insult. #jobseeker #auspol #highered

14.01.2022 URGENT! This morning, just days after Raise the Rate for Good supporters met with Government MPs in Canberra, there were reports that Government leaders, inclu...ding Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg, will be meeting this afternoon to finalise their plan for Jobseeker. We need to make sure that the Prime Minister and Treasurer go into those meetings with no doubt in their mind that there is overwhelming community support for a permanent and adequate increase to Jobseeker. Together, this week, our community flooded their offices with 100 calls. But we need to keep up the pressure before they lock in their plans. Click here to call their offices: https://raisetherateforgood.good.do/callthepm/call/ PS. There will be a number of politicians in the room for those meetings. If you’ve already called the Prime Minister and Treasurer, can you call the others? Their names and contact details are below: Minister Anne Ruston: (02) 6277 7560 Minister Simon Birmingham: (02) 6277 7400 Minister Dan Tehan: (02) 6277 7420 Minister Michael McCormack: (02) 6277 7520 Minister Peter Dutton: (02) 6277 7860 Thank you for all you do!
