20.01.2022 Livestock Manager Lamb Production (4000 1st x and Merino breeding ewes) Operational management and strategic input North East Victoria... Located in Mansfield’s picturesque Victorian High Country on 1500ha, an opportunity exists for a skilled, experienced and highly motivated Livestock Manager. Reporting to the owner, you will take full responsibility for the day to day management of all production operations and work closely with the owner on higher level strategic decision making. You will need to manage a small team of permanent, casual and contract labours. Your key focus will be the health and welfare of livestock, along with maintenance of existing infrastructure across the property. Experience in pasture renovation, spraying and growing summer crops are highly desirable but not essential. To be considered for this role, you will need to have had both production and staff management responsibilities in a previous position. You will want to be hands on and leading from the front with all activities while still ensuring the management of all farming operations including administrative reporting, quality assurance and compliance requirements are met. Capable working dogs are essential in the role. An attractive salary package and motor vehicle will be negotiated with the successful candidate. To submit a letter of application and a copy of your resume please email Dale at [email protected] For a confidential conversation please call 0477 143 361.

18.01.2022 With less than three weeks to sale day things are getting pretty busy around here! We have had quite a steady stream of visitors through to look at the boys so ...if you'd like to make a time to come and have a look then now is your chance. Please phone or email for a time that suits you. There have been a couple of replacements so check the website for the most up to date info regarding the catalogue. Here is the link to the AuctionsPlus catalogue: https://auctionsplus.com.au/auctionV2/New/#/catalogue/13636 The sale will open Friday the 25th at 4pm (hence why it is listed on the Friday not the Monday) with things getting serious at 1pm on Monday. After half an hour the two minute timer will reset each time a new bid is placed on any ram. Remember, this sale is simultaneous, just like a Helmsman. If you have any questions then please give me a call. If you would like to register as a buyer for the sale then please also fill this form out for Jen: http://bit.ly/TolandBuyerRegistration On a less serious note I thought you may get a giggle out of the last photo. We were moving sheep yesterday and watching one of the young dogs when Simon bogged the ute . Luckily the kids are still home schooling so a quick phone call to Charlie saved the day. He had to excuse himself from his teacher on Google meet to bring the tractor down and she laughed because she hadn't heard that excuse before! It's still quite wet in some places obviously. 10.01.2022 It's weaning and weighing time for the 2020 drop and I'm pretty impressed with them. We've had some whoppers, 50kg, and they are progeny (or grand progeny) of 1...51545, a fabulous Toland sire that is still working wonders in the stud. There are rams by him for sale in the On Property Auction which happens in 2 weeks today!
