17.01.2022 We are excited to open entries for Nutrien Classic Sale No. 14 on the 31st August closing 6th Sept 2020. There has been a lot of questions asked by our valued clients about the entries opening for the 2021 Classic Campdraft and Sale. Our intention is to open entries as normal on the 31st August 2020, they will be open for one week. We are looking to lot a similar number to previous year’s sales with 650 horses. Whilst we are still planning to run the Classic as planned to beg...in the 30th January 2021, we are cognisant that the ongoing situation with COVID 19 may make this not possible. In the interest of sale preparation where many horses go into work or into the care of trainers, we will make an early decision no later than the end of October as to whether we need to reset Classic dates. Our intention is that if we believe we cannot run the event as planned, we will look to have an alternative date to run the Classic as soon as practical. Entries will be taken and approved as normal, however payment will not be required until the date of the 2021 Classic has been confirmed. All incentives for sale horses previously purchased will be honoured and we will be looking to run those sale incentive competitions at the 2021 Classic. A surge of bidding at the end of the sale has delivered some incredible results so far, with NEW SUPREME SALE RECORDS in all major categories of the sale. The ridden section had two top priced horses at $38,000 in J&G Pastoral’s (Trinity Stockhorses) LOT 77 - TRINITY ACRES ELISE and Lyra ...View Trading’s LOT 84 WYENA IDLE. The top priced led entry went to an early favourite in LOT 9 KNEIPPS ECLIPSE. She was offered by long time vendor Stephen Kneipp and sold for $32,000 The broodmares continued to draw plenty of interest with the top price going to another of J&G Pastoral’s (Trinity Stockhorses) entrants in LOT 144 SPINS ENCOUNTER, selling for $21,500. Since the close of the sale we have successfully sold an additional 15 lots with a large number of horses currently under negotiation. The sale drew huge interest on the Auctions Plus Platform, with 1,400 registered bidders, almost 4,000 logged in viewers, nearly 19,500 online catalogue views and 276 active bidders placing 1,444 online bids. 07.01.2022 2021 Classic still on track Entries to Open 31st August 2020 With entries ready to open on Monday 31st August, we wanted to update you on a few key points under the current circumstances we find ourselves in.... The 2021 Nutrien Classic is set to run from Saturday 30th January 2021 through until Sunday 7th February 2021 with the same program planned as the 2020 event. We are anticipating to catalogue 650 horses, similar to the past few years with the event again planning for four days of sales. We are again thrilled to host the NCCA National rider titles as part of the campdraft program. After discussions with a number of clients we can also confirm that any horses purchased from the Classic that remain eligible for the Classic event; therefore 5 years and under and still owned by the entity that purchased originally from a Classic sale will qualify Young Gun competitors for the competition. As previously mentioned in the event that we are unable to confirm our ability to conduct the event in February, we will look at our options at the end of October to allow time for vendors and trainers to prepare for the sale professionally. In the event any delay was required, we will look to still offer all two-year-old horses via an online sale in February, with all normal eligibility along with the Open age horses to be offered in the same fashion online in March 2021. This would then see our normal program run with the sale of 3 & 4-year-old horses in conjunction with our traditional competitions if required. With entries being open for the week next week we will initially confirm your entries, but will not take any payments until we can confirm our program at the end of October.
