21.01.2022 Weekly Update: A larger national offering of 35,923 bales resulted in significant price falls across all categories, leading to a high pass-in rate of 26.5%. The Northern Market Indicator closed 88c lower, finishing the week at 1190c/kg clean. 18 micron closed 106c lower at 1516c, 19 micron was 106c cheaper at 1313c while 20’s were 101c lower at 1191c. 21 micron fell 85c to close the week at 1158c. 17.01.2022 Weekly Update: The Sydney market was subdued this week, with the majority of falls occurring on the first sale day, before a relatively stable sale day to close the week. From a 34,915 bale offering, 19.5% was passed in. The NMI lose 38c overall, finishing at 1214c/kg clean.... Merino fleece wools were 20 49c lower, while crossbreds were generally 40c cheaper. Merino cardings closed 27c lower at 704c. A larger offering of 43,527 bales is expected to be offered next week which will no doubt test the strength of the market. 14.01.2022 Weekly Update: A one-day sale in Sydney this week resulted in welcome price increases across all categories. The gains are predicted to be very short lived, but it was nice to see some positive market movement regardless. From the 19, 654 bales offered nationally, 5.7% was passed in.... The NMI closed 36c higher at 955c/kg clean, while all merino fleece wools were quoted 28 53c dearer. Crossbreds gained 45 65c while merino cardings rose 1c to close at 638c. A larger offering of 33,558 bales is expected to be offered next week on a national level. See more

13.01.2022 Weekly Update: Prices increased on both sale days, resulting in a low pass-in rate of 5.8% from a 26,212 bale offering nationally. The NMI finished the week 38c dearer at 993c/kg clean. Most merino fleece types were quoted 30 50c dearer, with 18 micron showing the biggest rise of 72c. Merino cardings were quoted 35c higher at 673c, while crossbred types were up to 32c dearer.... 11.01.2022 Today’s Market: Apart from losing a few cents for the broader Merino types, all other categories enjoyed a small rise.

09.01.2022 Weekly Update: The wool market had a volatile ride last week, rising around 100c on the first sale day before losing around half that gain during the following day’s sale. Overall the NMI closed 55c dearer, while merino fleece types were between 50 80c higher. Crossbred wools were 22 35c dearer, while merino cardings finished the week 14c lower.... This week we expect a larger offering of 41,969 bales which may test the strength of the market somewhat.

09.01.2022 Weekly Update: The wool market continued its upward trend this week, with all categories experiencing increased demand. From the 23,260 bale offering, 2.7% was passed in. The NMI closed 93c higher at 1086c/kg clean, while superfine and fine wool merino fleece wools were 128 137c dearer.... Medium and braoder wools closed 102 119c higher, while crossbred types were 23 45c dearer. Merino cardings were also dearer, gaining 50c to close at 723c.
