22.01.2022 Mycorrhizae is the term used to describe the symbiotic relationship between the roots of a plant and specialised soil fungi. There are 3 main types of mycorrhizal fungi, including endomycorrhizae; the endomycorrihzal fungi’s hyphae penetrates the plant root, rather than just associating along the root surface. Nutrifields Myco Thrive contains a combination of 4 different species of endomycorrhizal fungi, each carefully selected to help increase the plants effective root area.... The increase in total root surface area translates into many benefits for the plants including enhanced water and nutrient uptake, as well as improved quality and yield. The endomycorrhizal fungi’s hyphae penetrate into the plant root, while the mycelium grows out into the soil to search for immobile nutrients such as phosphorus. The fungi processes the immobile nutrients into available nutrient that is then passed on to the plant roots. In return, the plant provides the fungi with carbohydrates needed for the fungal growth. This is a symbiotic relationship, where both the plant and the microbe benefits; they each provide the other with nutrients they need to grow. We recommend prepping soil/growing media with Myco Thrive as early as possible (before planting), and inoculating again during weeks 4-7 in flowering plants. This will ensure your plant is getting the most out of all the nutrients available in the soil, allowing for the enhanced quality and yield. 14.01.2022 We recently teamed up with researchers at RMIT University to develop a pharmacokinetic model that can be used to predict how the phytochemicals in Cannabis Sativa are absorbed and cleared by the body after inhalation. We then applied the resulting Inhalation Absorption Prediction (IAP) model to study how the level of specific compounds in the blood stream aligned with clinical data such as mood and pain relief effects. You can read more about it in our blog post here nutrifie...ld.com.au/researc/medicinal-plants-cannabis-sativa/ or in the journal Pharmacognosy Communications here phcogcommn.org/content/212 #nutrifield #cannabis #IAP #cannabispharmacokinetics #cannabisresearch

07.01.2022 Ever wonder how Nutrifields COCO stacks up when compared to the rest? Well we have some good news for you: Hydromag conducted an independent test on a range of COCO substrates - and Nutrifield COCO came out on top! Nutrifields COCO was seen to be packaged with volumes of 1.43% above the stated value, so you know you're getting your moneys worth! Ensuring pH is within a suitable range of 5.5-6.5 is critical for hydroponics, and our COCO had an average reading of 6.04.... Our highly controlled production processes leads to sodium levels that are appropriately below 2 mmol/L, and our pre buffering with calcium lead to Nutrifield having the highest Ca:K ratio out of all brands tested! At Nutrifield we always strive to ensure our production is consistent and of the highest standard, allowing us to produce and deliver a reliable product that won’t let you down. 05.01.2022 Coconut coir, or COCO, is a common growing substrate made from the husk of coconuts specifically the material from the outer coating of the coconut seed. Nutrifield has 4 premium COCO products; COCO premium, COCO premium brick & mega brick, COCO premium perlite blend, and COCO premium chips blend. COCO has a look and feel similar to soil with the added benefit of being very friable, so readily reabsorbs water once dried out, and it’s able to absorb up to 7X its weight in wa...ter. It’s an inert substrate, giving the grower full control over the amount of nutrients the plants are subjected to. COCO coir is a great substrate for growing as it allows for good oxygen penetration, and has excellent water retention while also allowing for sufficient drainage. An additional quality is that COCO substrates utilise what was once considered waste into a repurposed and reusable product, which comes from a renewable source! There are three basic types of coir; - COCO pith (AKA COCO peat): a grainy fibre made from desiccated coconut husk, similar in feel to soil. The base for all our premium COCO range. - COCO fibre: stringy bundles of COCO. Mixed throughout all our premium COCO range. - COCO chip: small chunks of coir, similar to woodchips. Blended with COCO premium to make our COCO chips pureblend. Nutrifield COCO has been awarded the coveted dutch RHP certification for unsurpassed quality. It ensures our production methods consistently produce clean and quality COCO that is pest and disease free, thoroughly washed and pre-buffered with calcium to remove sodium ions and stabilise pH, and has the lowest salt index in the industry. If you’re itching to get your hands on some COCO, head to your nearest stockist; Nutrifield.com.au/stockist/ #nutrifield #growhydro #nfCOCO #nutrifieldCOCO #COCOcoir #coconutcoir #reuse #RHP

02.01.2022 Nutrifields Trico Thrive contains a specialised blend of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) and Trichoderma, a free-living soil fungi. PGPR is a classification for microorganisms that live in the root zone of plants and provide them with increased nutrient availability and protection against pathogens. Trichoderma is a genus of fungi that produce enzymes that break down dead plant material for nutrient recycling. Nutrifields Thrico Thrive contains the PGPR Bacillus ...spp. Bacillus grows around the plants root zone forming biofilms a layer of tightly associated microorganisms covered by a carbon based extracellular matrix. This biofilm acts as a physical barrier to help protect the delicate plant roots. Bacillus also have the ability to convert unavailable nutrients into available forms for plant uptake, which leads to increased plant growth. Tricho Thrive protects your plants root system while enhancing nutrient availability to facilitate enhanced growth and keep plants healthy! Want to experience the benefits Thrico Thrive for yourself?
