19.01.2022 So excited to be working with Snap Fitness Joondalup and to feature on their Facebook page today!

18.01.2022 SAVE THIS POST FOR THE NEXT TIME YOU GO GROCERY SHOPPING Eating seasonally is not a new concept and there are certainly a few convincing reasons to give it a go. As we welcome autumn it’s a great time to have a think about what fruits will be coming into season. Now, this post isn’t an exclusive list of what fruit is in season during autumn but it definitely does feature some of my favourites. ... Eating seasonally can be great for ... Your budget! Foods that are in season are usually in peak supply so you get more bang for your buck. Your gut! By changing it up a bit and including seasonal foods in your diet instead of just opting for your favourites it increases the overall diversity of your diet. And we’ve all heard how diversity can be beneficial for your gut. The environment! Eating seasonally can reduce the demand for foods that are out of season which supports local farmers in your area which means less transportation and food miles. P.S. I have one of these fruits growing in my back yard, comment below with your best guess which one it is!! #nutrition #nutritionist #perthnutritionist #nutritioncoach #onlinenutrition #nutritiongraduate #nutritionblogger #healthy #health #healthyliving #healthylife #healthylifestyle #healthytips #nutritiontips #autumn #autumnfruits #eatingsustainably #eatingseasonally #foodisfuel #foodisnotjustfuel #perth #smallbusiness #smallbusinessperth #smallbuisnessowner #nobsnfr

13.01.2022 ~ I had plans ~ It’s been almost a month since I last posted here. That certainly was not the plan. I had planned for things like moving house or starting a new course at a new uni to not disrupt my posts. I had it planned perfectly. ... But in reality life was a lot messier than I had planned and the transition period took up a lot more of my time and energy than I was anticipating. And that’s not a bad thing. I’ve spent time settling in to a beautiful new house, spent time exploring a new campus and meeting new people in my course. So why am I sharing this? How is it even remotely related to nutrition? Well, I’ve spoken to lots of people that have lots of big plans for their diet and their health. And it’s important to have plans if you have goals that you want to achieve. But it is equally important to have the right mindset around your plans. Let them be a little flexible and let them be open to revision if you find they aren’t quite working for you. Try focusing on progress NOT perfection! I thought it was fitting for this to be my first post back after my lil break. Today I celebrated my graduation from a Bachelor in Health Science, majoring in Nutrition Bioscience. #nutrition #nutritionist #perthnutritionist #nutritioncoach #onlinenutrition #nutritiongraduate #nutritionblogger #healthy #health #healthyliving #healthylife #healthylifestyle #healthytips #nutritiontips #graduation #universitygraduate #perth #smallbusiness #smallbusinessperth #smallbuisnessowner #nobsnfr

12.01.2022 This is an up close and personal shot of my lunch for the past few days. I prepped this big beautiful salad on Tuesday and everyday since I’ve been glad I did. This week I’ve started a new post graduate degree (more details to come soon ) and I’ve been packing because I’m moving house tomorrow! Between these two things I didn’t really have much time or energy to spend thinking about my lunch and preparing it everyday so I planned ahead and made this for myself. When prepari...ng meals or ingredients for the week I try to always make something that I know will keep fresh, that I will enjoy eating and that I know will nourish my body and keep me energised for the day. This salad has a total of 9 different plant foods, can you find them all? Comment below if you can #nutrition #nutritionist #perthnutritionist #nutritioncoach #onlinenutrition #nutritiongraduate #nutritionblogger #healthy #health #healthyliving #healthylife #healthylifestyle #healthytips #nutritiontips #quickandeasymeals #foodisfuel #foodisnotjustfuel #perth #smallbusiness #smallbusinessperth #smallbuisnessowner #nobsnfr

09.01.2022 Everyday I hear people pass comments to others about their food choices. Things like ... Are you really going to eat that? ... Or Look at your lunch! You definitely are a nutritionist! Or Why didn’t you choose the sugar free version of that? These comments can have a negative impact on people’s relationship with food and they are completely unnecessary. People’s food choices are highly individualised and are dependent on things like hunger, energy requirements, food preferences, allergies, cost of food, time constraints, knowledge of food, culture, mood and the list goes on. Everyone has their own circumstances and everyone’s food choices can differ and that is totally ok. My best advice, keep your eyes on your own plate and refrain from commenting on other people’s food choices.
