11.01.2022 I want to start by saying how great I think social media can be, particularly for sharing (factual) info & keeping in touch with friends. But I think we have all experienced the negative side effects, consciously or not - particularly relating to health. Some influencers will make you believe that health is how you look. It's eating organic, non-processed foods, eating superfoods, drinking probiotics, taking extensive supplements, never touching gluten or dairy, and ensuri...ng that your food is 'clean', or sugar & dairy-free/keto/paleo/high carb/low carb/vegan friendly. Some people may make you feel like the only thing that will make you healthy is to fast, to include mushroom powders in your morning coffee, to test for every possible intolerance, to go on different restrictive diets, or to ignore what your doctor recommends. They may make you question everything you have ever known and even your learned experience, based on information that isn't evidence-based. The reality is, health is unequivocally nuanced. There are so many layers to what influences someone's health, and I think people should be more aware of it. You aren't a failure when you can't afford the supplements and lifestyles that influencers promote as health. You aren't a failure when you want to eat packaged/less nutritionally dense foods sometimes. It is such a problem to be perpetuating the idea it is just a simple CHOICE to be healthy - it is influenced by SO much more than that. It is a privilege to go to university and study nutrition. It is a privilege to have the skill to figure out what is just another fad, and what is evidence-based. It is also easy, if you have the privilege of education, access, and support, to forget that others don't. I want to be better at this myself - we can all get so wrapped up in our own lives and experience. If you are feeling overwhelmed - you aren't the only one. Cut yourself some slack and realise that having a go at being healthy is much more important than not trying at all. The anxiety that comes with the quest for perfect health may be more detrimental to you then that piece of bread, or glass of milk in the long run. @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia See more

10.01.2022 STICKY BBQ CHICKPEAS. On this weeks recipe plan, going out this morning! #weeklyrecipeplan

10.01.2022 Do you struggle to get veg in? I get it - steamed veggies can be SO BORING. But, I’m not going to pretend that eating no veg is ok. We need to eat a diverse range of veg to get a range of nutrients, and to make sure we look after our gut. I love to roast them up and make a 10/10 dressing to keep it interesting - this bowl alone has 10 different veg! What’s your favourite way to eat your veggies? #nutrition #weeklyrecipeplan #veg

04.01.2022 HI THERE Long time no speak! We have had a bit of a crazy time in the last few months at N2N - some exciting changes & things going on. Our weekly recipe plans have finished up after a whole year, which was sad. BUT, they are going to be replaced with something very exciting in the new year - keep an eye out I have been continuing working with clients 1:1 both online and in-person which is great. I have also been working with some gyms, sporting clubs and teams on the...ir nutrition & eating for performance, which has been so exciting! And as always, continuing with recipe development because your girl likes to COOK & EAT. We will be back into routine posting recipes and fun content in the new year. I hope you have the best break over Christmas & New Years. Can't wait to see all of the yummy food you eat See more
