25.01.2022 Its been a busy but totally fulfilling year, with so much to be grateful for. I love that I get to do it all - work in clinical practice as both a Nutritional Medicine Practitioner and Dermal Clinician and also also provide education to Industry. There is no greater satisfaction than feeling like youve made a difference in someones life in any capacity, be it big or small. I have have a number of things I am working on and plan to bring to the market in 2020. One of them i...s providing my online courses in a non-live format for greater accessibility. I am so grateful that my international reach is growing and timing, which has been a big issue, no longer will be. I also have new courses that I am launching - Hormones and the Skin - a holistic approach, and one other that I have created content for but not yet named. Clinic-branded Meal Plans for Clinicians to utilise in clinic has been my pet project and the feedback so far has been all I could have hoped for. Theres also a product in development that you will hear more about in the coming months, and theres a book in progress....watch this space. Its going to be a busy year and Im all for it! I want to take this opportunity to say a big, big thank you to all my friends, near and far, and to my tribe of Therapists, for all your support and love. I hope that you all get to spend quality time with your loved ones and my wish for you is that the coming year, and new decade has lots of good things in store for you, most importantly good health. 19.01.2022 Hello Friend, I’ve been gone a while I know.... My beloved dad passed away two months ago, at home with all his family around him. I was blessed to be able to care for him for his last 5 months of life. This is my absolute favourite picture of my darling dad and I. It shows the special bond we shared. It still brings tears to my eyes looking at it, still not quite believing that the numerous videos and audio recordings I made of us together, are all I have left of him. I ha...ven’t been able to talk or share anything about my beloved father until now. I miss him desperately. My dad lives on in my heart, I feel his presence. I talk to him often and talk about him all the time. I recently participated in the Link between skin and gut health with Chiza. Wow what a journey that was! I am a Dermal clinician with a Bachelor of Health Sciences. As part of our degree we learn nutrition. However, it was just a subject and never did it link skin to gut.... i knew from dealing with clients for the last 18 years that there was somewhere a link, however, as my knowledge in that department was limited, i did not feel comfortable nor confident to voice my concerns. Participating in the Nutritional Skincare Academys course, i now feel so much more comfortable in advising my client on what supplements to use, and why am i recommending them. I wish i could live in Chizas brain for a while and absorb soooo much of her knowledge. This womens knowledge is amazing. Chiza is not someone who skims on sharing the information which i appreciated. I would recommend this course to anyone who would wish to go the next step in their client /patient relationship and gain that confidence that i have, thanks to Chiza. Lots of fantastic displays showing the inextricable link between explor...e our minds and gut microbes. Faecal microbial transplants were given some good attention as was the importance of good sources of fibre in the diet. Great to see this moving more into the mainstream. See more

13.01.2022 In clinical practice Im fortunate to work as both a Nutritional Medicine Practitioner as well as a Dermal Clinician. I see a lot of men and women with alcohol-aggravated conditions, that range from mild rosacea flare ups, to anxiety/depression/to severe gut associated conditions such as Crohns and diverticulitis. I see the fear in their eyes when I explain that their alcohol consumption needs to be addressed. By swapping the alcohol out for a gut supportive elixir that I add sparking water to, in a wine glass or champagne flute, they are able to enjoy an alcohol free week. 07.01.2022 After each Course that I run, I always ask for feedback as without it how can one hope to grow?! IMPROVING I am always improving upon and updating the material that I present to make it even more relevant and worthwhile.... This is just a tiny snapshot of the feedback I received from my last class that I wanted to share. COURSE FEEDBACK - I have enjoyed everything about this course as it has just cemented my knowledge with regard to skin health. I needed this as I come across these skin conditions daily and I now have the confidence to pinpoint triggers and give advice to help with nutrition, and not just skin care. - I have enjoyed learning how the gut, brain and skin are all related and how important our diet is to our overall health. - I have loved learning more about our amazing bodies not only for our clients but for personal wellbeing also.
