25.01.2022 New Years resolutions can cause more harm than good. Here are some very wise words from Beyondblue. Make 2016 healthy and happy :)

25.01.2022 This is clever. I will definitely be trying some of these recipes.

24.01.2022 Im very interested in your thoughts on the healthy eating guide. I am not happy with the high amount of grain recommended and also the examples of fats given.

23.01.2022 This is a very good article on the issues of wheat sensitivity and the issues with going gluten free.

21.01.2022 Im sure you are all aware of the importance of your personal gut bacteria. Here is another reason to look after it....

20.01.2022 Very wise words....

19.01.2022 I cannot believe this is being sold! Who would eat this garbage?

19.01.2022 This is a very clever way to show the problem with a product that is seen by many people as the healthy option.

18.01.2022 Greek yoghurt is my favourite because of its tangy flavour, but how else does it differ from regular yoghurt? This article explains the difference between the two types of yoghurt in relation to their nutritional value and is an interesting read. In all cases, be sure to read the listed ingredients, as the benefit of choosing Greek yoghurt for its low lactose content could be lost to additives.

18.01.2022 So well said....

17.01.2022 A lesson to be learned...

15.01.2022 Please share this around. Especially to any friends who believe their low fat Boost smoothie is a good choice.

15.01.2022 Hopefully people will still be wary of a healthy soft drink containing 10 teaspoons of sugar.

14.01.2022 I dont usually get into the vaccination debate, but I have always had an issue with Gardasil. Please read and make up your own mind.

12.01.2022 I know it can be difficult, but please go for the real food and avoid the marketing trap.

12.01.2022 A nice thought.....

12.01.2022 This is a really interesting viewpoint. Let me know what you think....

12.01.2022 Going against the grain (no pun intended) and switching to a low grain vegetarian lifestyle can greatly reduce pain and other inflammatory symptoms. So, why does everyone stick with Paleo? I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which affects my connective tissue and causes widespread chronic pain, as my joints are not stable. I need an anti-inflammatory diet to keep my overall pain levels to a dull roar, as I do not take medications. Paleo does not work for me and only aggravates my condition. Everyone is different and what works for some will not necessarily work for others.

11.01.2022 Angela is a friend and long time colleague who is passionate about helping women find their work life balance. If you are in the area, I strongly recommend attending this event.

11.01.2022 Wow, what an interesting grab from the sugar industry. They were obviously feeling the pinch (no pun intended) from the rise of artificial sweeteners. Well, now we know the dangers of both. To many people, it feels like a case of pick your poison.

11.01.2022 We now have another latest and greatest vitamin supplement to add to the cupboard. Yes, Vitamin K2 is valuable as part of a balanced nutrient intake, but I have always been concerned with single vitamin supplements and would only prescribe them if there was a proven deficiency and that is rare. Single vitamins and minerals work in conjunction with other nutrients, which form intricate pathways and chemical reactions in our bodies. If we tip the balance too far, then these pathways are interrupted and can cause other health issues. The best way to get your Vitamin K is to eat it in eggs, chicken, fish, organ meats, fermented foods, green leafy vegetables and natto (japanese soy dish) to name a few. So, please look at getting the full benefits from this vitamin along with others from healthy food choices.

09.01.2022 I dont often find these sorts of articles acceptable, but this is well written, sensible and spot on.

09.01.2022 This is oh so true...

08.01.2022 So, low magnesium is affecting Vitamin D status even after supplementation.... I have always been against single nutrient supplementation and never went down that path when I was in practice. Its all about balance and too much of one nutrient can have adverse affects on so many others. The final sentence is very interesting: Large doses of Vitamin D can severely deplete Magnesium level....... Is it the chicken or the egg?

08.01.2022 Please take the time to watch this video. Chronic stress is the cause of so many illnesses and the link the Alzheimers is real.

08.01.2022 I'm sure you are all aware of the importance of your personal gut bacteria. Here is another reason to look after it....

07.01.2022 I attended a fascinating seminar over the weekend looking at how nutrition can affect genetic expression. There is an overwhelming correlation between what we eat and how our genes will react, which means that just because you have a genetic predisposition to heart disease or certain cancers your fate is not sealed. The key is knowing which foods are positive for your individual needs. This sounds scary, but there is no doubt that a plant based diet is beneficial. How much and what with, is the tricky part.

07.01.2022 This is an interesting read about vitamin deficiencies found in migraine sufferers. I always found that food helps tremendously, as long as meals are eaten regularly to avoid irregular blood sugar patterns.

07.01.2022 Just because its natural doesnt mean its harmless. Take care when buying supplements from unqualified sources.

06.01.2022 This is one of the best written and informative articles on healthy food I have read. The author has an amazing background, so if you have the time to look at their website after reading the article, then please do. Thank you Phion.

05.01.2022 This looks really tasty, so I thought Id share.

05.01.2022 Have a wonderful Easter break and make sure you relax and enjoy some luscious food. Please dont waste your money on crappy Easter egg chocolate; go for the good stuff instead :)

05.01.2022 Im going to try this, as it looks quite interesting..

04.01.2022 Absolutely unbelievable. There is absolutely zero nutritional value in sugar, yet WHO still recommends a daily amount for good health!

03.01.2022 Wow, This is why fresh is best :)

03.01.2022 An interesting read and a good reason to be cautious of so called healthy take away options (Subway).
