25.01.2022 Survived last night on my own with Evie However had a rubbish night's sleep (Evie was an angel though) but this morning it's like a switch flipped and she became a monster I took this photo after I had finally gotten her to sleep and thought I could sit on the deck and read my kindle and relax... That lasted about 3minutes before the monster woke up and wouldn't settle for more than a few minutes until Brendan got home this afternoon - Hats off to all the single mothers out there, FIFO wife's and defence wife's.... You are all superheroes!
24.01.2022 Evie conquered her first time at the gym crèche today.... And when I say Evie conquered it, I mean I conquered actually taking her I've talked myself out of it all week and made up 101 reasons why she can't go to crèche but we finally did it and she slept pretty much the whole time so she clearly wasn't distressed at all! - I went back to work for 2 days this week so Evie was looked after by family but leaving her just doesn't get any easier... Hope she wants to hang out ...when she's 30 cause I'll still be obsessed with her #stalkermum - Smashed out a solid leg session today with the husband (we haven't trained together in forever!) And well I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow 100% must remember to @fisiocremaustralia my quads tonight if I want any chance at running tomorrow! - 6weeks PP See more
22.01.2022 Loving the weather I absolutely love running on a warm afternoon as the sun goes down, doesn't really compete with QLD but I'll take it lol. - I took Lilly for the first 2kms and then had to drop her back home because I was dragged her - 5weeks PP
16.01.2022 Had full intensions of a run this morning but after we took all 3 of the dogs for a walk but I really just wasn't feeling it so instead I took Zeus for an hour walk by himself while Brendan busted out his training. - Not going to lie I am 100% jealous of Brendan right now, he's getting faster and leaner... And I'm getting slower and rounder - 34w3d ... #thirdtrimester See more
13.01.2022 My first run with the pram today and it actually was way easier than I was expecting although I reckon by the time I'm done running with kids in a pram I'll have a tank of a right arm - 6weeks PP
12.01.2022 Today's training was just a 50minute walk while Brendan did his run test. - Extremely fatigued today, after a few restless nights worrying about my golden boy Shadow who is in less then amazing health at the moment and waking up every single time I roll over because it's such a mission these days I'm impressed I even got out and walked to be honest! - Not long until the @elephant_trail_race and after last year's 50kms of fun I'm looking forward to just doing the 5...km this year (If Evie doesn't make an early arrival that is). - 33w3d #thirdtrimester See more
10.01.2022 Another day, another run Still not fast but still loving that I can still run - Still slack on the old Instagram lately but I've still been training away... The other day I was on the stair climber for 30mins and realised that my belly now gets in the way every time I take the next step up -... We went whale watching on Sunday and when I was getting on the boat the poor guy who was taking us out tried so hard to ask if I was pregnant without offending me in case I wasn't I've always wanted to say 'No, what do you mean? I'm not pregnant!' but I just couldn't do it to the poor guy - 36w1d #thirdtrimester See more
09.01.2022 No two days are the same, yesterday's run sucked but today's run was GREAT!! - I headed out for aiming for 10kms, got my 5km in 31:34 without trying just plotting along and I haven't managed anything under 32mins in about a month only got to 6kms before the rain hit so called it but body felt great - Keen as a bean to hit the gym this afternoon now that it's open again!! ... - 32w6d #thirdtrimester See more
09.01.2022 Another run Certainly not getting any faster but still love that post run feeling - Thank-you to everyone who noticed I hadn't posted in a few days and checked in to see how myself and Evie are We've been good, just slack on Instagram with more gym workouts (because I hate the cold ), had a busy week with patients for work PLUS I'm going through a 'We must get EVERYTHING done before Evie arrives' stage as if our life's end of something when she gets here Thank...fully my husband is handling this stage well and going along with my crazy list of things we MUST get done to the house etc before Evie arrives. - 35w1d #thirdtrimester See more
05.01.2022 Morning run It actually felt pretty good considering I'm #37weekspregnant tomorrow!! - I finally packed my hospital bag (thank-you for all your suggestions on what to take) and the car seat goes in today and now we just wait and run until little Evelyn decides to make her entrance
04.01.2022 With the fabulous weather and the husband at work all day it was a treadmill run today! - I waited and waited for Evie to fall asleep and she just wasn't having a bar of it so I brought her down into the pain cave in her rocker and she was a delight for the most part just watching me run and then she turned into a monster for a few hours but hey at least she waited until I was finished - 5weeks PP
04.01.2022 Today's training was a 45minute walk along the water in Port this morning followed by an upper body session and a solid stretch and foam roll... So good to be back at the gym, but will 100% be a T-REX tomorrow - 33w1d #thirdtrimester
03.01.2022 Hit the gym this morning for a leg session followed by 33minutes on the stair climber (33mins because I'm 33w was my logic) and got out for a 5km run this afternoon to test out my new @garminau forerunner 945 and I love it!! - The body is actually feeling really good at the moment, probably helps that I ducked into the clinic to get a chiro adjustment/treatment after the gym curtsey of @brendan_summerlandhealth - 33w2d ... #thirdtrimester See more
02.01.2022 Gotta love delivery day when it looks like this - I fell in love with Blue dinosaur bars years ago because they only have a handful of natural ingredients (meaning you can read the back of the label and not need a chemistry book ) and they taste delicious!! Now the goal is to practice self control and not eat them all this afternoon
02.01.2022 5km afternoon jog for the @fisiocremaustralia June Strava challenge!! #fisiocremrunclub - Started the morning off with a solid upper body strength session at the gym with the husband and I wasn't 100% sure I actually felt like running today but the sun was just so inviting, I had to get out in it! It was more of a run/walk/run but I figure at 34weeks pregnant I'm probably going to have more average runs then good ones at this stage but I always feel amazing afterwar...ds regardless of how the actual run went - 34w1d #thirdtrimester See more
