24.01.2022 We know Monday’s can be hard, so we thought we’d share another one of our smoothie recipes to make it a little easier. Our Hulk Smoothie is dairy-free, vegan and high in potassium. Also contains Vitamins A, B1 and B2, the Hulk Smoothie is a really great way to get your nutrient fix during the day, no matter how old you are! All you’ll need is: ... 1 cups of water 1 Apple, cored 1 Banana 1 Cup of Baby Spinach Leaves To make, you simply need to: 1. Cut the apple into four pieces (if your blender is not strong, you may need to peel the apple too). 2. Peel the banana and pull it apart into four chunks. 3. Pour water, cut up apple, banana and spinach leaves into the blender. 4. Blend until smooth and enjoy! https://nutritionsolutionstas.com.au/services/

20.01.2022 Options are important. Why? Because for many people in aged care facilities, a lack of options can make mealtimes a chore instead of a time for them to enjoy. Providing options allows residents to pick what visually appeals to them. This makes mealtimes something to look forward to. It creates a sense of independence which many residents fear they may lose. We know that isn’t the case, and we want everyone to know it too. Mealtimes provide an incredible opportunity to impro...ve social, emotional and physical wellbeing, so let's make the most of it. https://nutritionsolutionstas.com.au/

19.01.2022 You've probably heard the term 'eat the rainbow' but what does it really mean? When a lot of people probably hear that term, their mind instantly goes to the extravagant meals of food influencers and celebrity chefs we see in our social media feeds and on tv. Which can be off-putting for a lot of people, because let's be honest, for most people those meals aren't realistic. So how can we translate ‘eating the rainbow’ into something everyone can achieve in their day, without... breaking the bank? Making sure our meals feature 4-5 different colours is a really easy way to make sure we’re getting the nutritional variety we need every day. It could mean something as simple as a small salad with our Sunday roast or throwing some extra veggies into a stir-fry. Because as small as these changes might sound, they can make a pretty big difference. https://nutritionsolutionstas.com.au/contact-us/

17.01.2022 Here’s a quick shot from our project with Carers Tasmania. Stephen did cooking demonstrations in four different locations across Tasmania for carers, to help them learn the skills they need to cook easy healthy meals for their loved ones, or to teach the people they care for how to make healthy nutritious meals. This project was a great way to share our passion for helping our community. We’ll be sharing some of our favourite recipes from these sessions later this month so... keep an eye out! https://nutritionsolutionstas.com.au/services/

15.01.2022 We help elderly Tasmanians to maintain their independence. Residents in aged care are often at a point in their life where their bodies and abilities are changing in a way which is very unfamiliar to them.
