Not to mention our ‘00’ flour and just the right spices ;) Whether you like chocolate, traditional or maybe something a little more experimental (did someone say cranberries and apricot) we’ve got all the ingredients covered in store or online!

22.01.2022 GRAND FINAL ROASTED PEANUTS Our Australian Raw Peanuts are one of our best sellers and it’s no wonder why! Give this recipe a try for your Grand Final day snacks! You can add whatever spices or seasonings you like but the trick is to splash a bit of water on the raw peanuts to allow the salt or spices to stick! Place on an oven tray and roast for 30 minutes at 180 degrees but remove just before peanuts are fully roasted as they will continue to cook as they cool. Enjoy with a good drink over the final #gocats



21.01.2022 STORAGE INFO As a general rule, the best way to keep your nuts and dried goods squirrelled away is in a cool dry place, in an air tight container! If you prefer to purchase in paper bags or like to grab the hot almonds when they’re available, we suggest removing them from the paper and putting into glass or plastic containers when you get home for longest shelf life! ... Our beans, lentils and grains will all live happily in their plastic packaging or in a container with a good lid like in the picture :) If you want to prolong the life of ingredients such as sesame seeds or almond flour, you can also keep these in the fridge although it’s not really necessary of you’re consuming them in 1-2 months! As for our dried fruit we do NOT recommend storing them in the fridge as they will dry out and become hard. So just keep them in a container or bag in your pantry If you have any questions feel free to comment below! Happy snacking!!

19.01.2022 BANANA AND MIX SEED BREAD We’re sure you’ve mastered your banana bread recipe by this stage of lockdown but how about adding a cup of our 5 Seed Mix to give it that extra bit of nutritional value ;) You’ll need: ... 3 overripe bananas plus 1 for on top 2 cups (300g) wholemeal spelt flour 1 tsp bicarb soda 11/4 cups (200g) mixed seeds 1/3 cup (30g) rolled oats 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp mixed spice 1/2 cup (75g) rapadura sugar 1/3 cup (80ml) light flavoured olive oil 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1/2 cup (140g) Greek style yoghurt In a large bowl combine flour, bicarb, seeds, oats, cinnamon and mixed spice. In a seperate bowl mash together bananas and rapadura, then add oil, eggs and yogurt. Add banana mixture to the dry and pour into a lined loaf tin. Slice banana and press into the top and sprinkle with extra seeds. Place in 200degree oven for 40 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean. Allow to cool, ENJOY!!! 13.01.2022 XMAS SPICED CANDY NUTS Add a little spice to our Premium Raw nut mix and what do you have? The perfect Christmas nibble!! This recipe is so easy and versatile to suit your tastes! We used cinnamon and mix spice but ginger, paprika and chilli are also delish! ... You’ll need: -2 cups Premium Raw Mix (or your fave raw nuts from our range) -1/2 cup brown sugar -teaspoon each of cinnamon and mix spice -1 egg white Whisk egg white until foamy and toss nut mix until fully covered. In a seperate bowl mix spices and then add to nuts and egg. The nuts should all be coated and sticky with no liquid remaining in the bowl. Spread evenly on a lined baking tray and back for 12 mins at 200, tossing half way and at the end. Allow to cool and sprinkle with a little salt to enhance the flavour, ENJOY!

10.01.2022 WILD RICE SALAD WITH PECAN, APRICOT AND CRANBERRIES You really can’t go wrongs with a grain salad whether it’s freekeh, barley, spelt or in this case our amazing black wild rice What are your favourite grain salad combos? ... You’ll need: 1 cup wild rice 1 cup caramelised onion (oil, butter, 2 onions sautés for 45 mins. But we also think a simple raw red onion would be great if you prefer) 1 cup cranberries 1 1/2 pecans 3/4 cup dried apricots 1/4 cup parsley 1 cup vinaigrette (ingredients in comments) This salad is a perfect make ahead dish and can sit happily in the fridge for a couple of days! 07.01.2022 VEGAN CASHEW CHEESE Raw cashews are a vegans best friend, but you don’t have to be vegan to enjoy this smooth and spreadable garlic and dill cheese :)) You’ll need: ... 2 cups raw cashews 2 cloves garlic 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1 medium lemon, zested 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/2-3/4 cup water 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast 1/2 tsp sea salt 2 Tbsp olive oil Dill to garnish Begin by soaking cashews in cold water overnight. Drain thoroughly then blend in a food processor. Add remaining ingredients, adding the gradually until a very smooth mixture created. The key is to get the cashews as smooth as possible!! Place mixture into cheese cloth to shape and lightly drain OR if you don’t have a cheese cloth you can place the mixture into a ramekin and use more like a spread. Let set overnight, garnish with dill and ENJOY!

03.01.2022 SPICY CHILLI BEANS Are you looking to eat less meat in 2021? Dry beans are such a versatile and delicious ingredient that are packed with protein and so simply to use once you know how ;) ... The trick is to allow some time for them to soak before hand, rinse well and then gently boil until they reach a soft texture!This method washes the ‘oligosaccharides’ (AKA the sugars that our bodies find difficult to break down) from the beans so there’s no rooting after dinner For this recipe we used: Red Kidney Beans and Black turtle beans soaked and boiled for an hour, onion, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, Chilli flakes and diced tomatoes.
